Nice to see Chipchura has turned himself into an NHL player. He ended up being waived by both Anaheim and Phoenix (who signed him as a UFA when Ducks didn't qualify him) at one point.
Habs used that 4th from Anaheim in exchange for Chips to draft Magnus Nygren, whose potential seems good.
It's starting to look like Kesler can't stay healthy. Out with a broken foot now. Not having him in the line-up really changes the complexion of the Canucks. They should trade Luongo sooner rather than later. They need to stop trying for a homerun on that and just trade him. They need the cap space too, especially with the cap going down.
Also with tonight's loss, Leafs are now in a battle for that 7/8th spot. My bet is on Philly getting one of those spots even though the teams around them have games in hand.
Ugh, just when I thought ''maybe Boston will finally face a good team tomorrow after beating up on TB/FLA/NYI'', they get the sooo due for a big crash Senators in Boston.

Yep. People will see that Ben Bishop is finally no Ken Dryden.
I was looking at that ovechkin video and thinking what a good job Therrien is doing with Subban. They're both the same types of personnalities, if Subban loses his enthousiasm like Ovechkin did, but never learns the good "small" habits, he'll hurt the team and poison the atmosphere. No player is bigger than the team, everyone has to do the little things that add up game after game. Look at some of the things Ovy did in that video. Unacceptable, the problem is his coaches turned a blind eye because he was scoring 60 goals. Some fans want to MT to do the same with Subban, bad idea imo.

blah blah blah. I'm really getting tired of the "bigger than the team" Subban criticisms. How has he shown that he's bigger than the team? How has he done anything anyhwhere remotely near what Ovi did?

Gooning it up makes them harder to play against, but I still see Toronto out of the playoffs. Maybe more like #10 than #13 but still outside.
Phoenix has more points than anyone in the SE division, and is last in their division.
I love these divisional "champions"
This year, with only 48 games to play, they should had gone with one big Eastern and one big Western Conference standings. Only the 8 best make the playoffs.
The Flames lose their 1st and 3rd in 2013 if the Avs do not match.
Hopefully for the sake of our Flames pick COL matches.
I don't think they will match sadly. Even with an out of shape ROR, the Flames are likely picking top 10, this is a great move for the Avs. It hurts our 2nd though.
Avs could end up replacing ROR with Barkov or Monahan....I have no idea what Calgary is thinking with this.
