Is it really that bad? I think most people are very happy with MT. He would probably be a Jack Adams candidate at this point.

It always easy to nit pick and it's not like it's all been unjust. Example: seems pretty clear Eller in the top 9 is a vast improvement over him playing on the 4th line. That's been one of the loudest complaints all season

Let's talk about DD. This guy brought his A game tonight, so happy to see him succeed against the big bad bru-- sorry maple leafs. Seriously though, he had a hell of a game.

Emelin played well and he got a goal for his efforts. Very happy with how we handled the puck in the offensive zone. Gorges was solid too.

Subban really impressed me tonight. He's such a stud, we NEED him playing the big defensive minutes, the guy is a rock.

Hes in a rough patch recently. Has been stellar to start off the season. Sooner or later he will regain form. But as of now, the guys are doing a great job supporting him during these "rough patch". Nothing to worry about IMO

Just came back from the Leafs board, wow man. They are blaming the refs and blaming their goalie and blaming Kessel and Bozak and JVR and the coach(can't spell it). Some fans are over there bragging that their loss was not as bad as losing 6-0 and therefore a victory. I did'nt post but smiled while reading.

The only thing more important that having quaility centers is having defensemen that can play both sides of the puck.

The combination of Plekanec, Desharnais, Eller, Galchenyuk which get to play with Markov, Diaz and Subban, is why Habs are dominanting 5 on 5 this year. Centermen and puck moving defensemen that can play defense are the two highest leverage roles after goaltending. They aren't that great as individuals, but as a collective, depth of talent tells.

Of course, Pacioretty being a ridiculous puck control player for a guy on the wing is also pretty helpful.

Man, what a team effort tonight! We've got acknowledged though that 1) we were getting totally outmuscled and 2) even if it's Mike Brown that got kicked out, playing 11 forwards all game has an effect on cardio and line changes. Things turned out for the better, thank god nobody got injured.

Not trying to criticize him but he's just not focused. Pretty clear on the second goal tonight and the lone Ottawa goal the other night.

In fairness, this is the easiest stretch that he's played since he came into the league. 17-25 easy shots a game. Good for him to work on his focus when the team is playing so well.

Judging from the quality and tone of the posts of the Laffs post-game board, most of them weren't born the last time the Laffs made the playoffs . . .

He seems to have a lot of trouble staying sharp when he goes a full period facing 4-5 shots. He's used to being bombarded.

Maybe I'm noticing it more lately because I notice it if that makes sense, but it seems in PGT's where we lose it's all criticizing of Therrien and Gionta.

Maybe this is the problem. When did the Habs have such low number of SA repetitively? He needs to get used to it and keep his focus.

You gotta hand it to the Toronto media, they're doing a viable job in making the Leaf fans believe they have a somewhat decent team.

Neither one, IMO. These are the 2 legit contenders in the East in my eyes, Price gets both games.

Budaj will start a game the following week in the Florida back-to-back.

Not much talk about the habs, but so much talk about the leafs and their fans in here.

We complain about all the coverage they get, but I think that some of us are secretly obsessed with them, reading through this thread.
