I have no issue with pulling Rinne, but he hasn't been "sucking ass". Our defense, however, has.
Rinne has let up 5 goals. He isnt on his game, sure i made an overstatement, but this game he is not up to the challenge. I have been calling him for to be pulled since the 3rd GA... hes breen hung out to dry and that stick break shows it. I dont see a case for leaving him in net.
Yes, lets pull Rinne and have our backup goalie who is clearly able to stop all of those.
There is no point in playing Rinne and risk him getting injured when the game is lost. Gaustad almost wiped him out falling into the net. We can recover from one loss we lose Rinne the season is over.

Coming from a goalie, there is nothing worse than getting pulled. Even if the coach tells you it's just to shake things up, you still feel like you let your team down horribly. Rinne is mature enough to deal with it, but in a game where we're done anyways, might as well just leave him.
agree. he should have been pulled after the 3rd one. i think 9 out of 10 times you make that move. but we got trotz .. and legwand, fisher as our scoring centers

Either way is fine with me.
I understand, but its the same thing as Smith or SK being demoted down. Do your job and everything should be good. Rinne hasnt done his job tonight, with no help either, but this game is already out of hand. At this point I dont mind either, its just a trainwreck to watch.
This is the "stamp game" offically marking the Nashville Predators as NOT being an upper-level NHL team.
ive said that all year.. and this isn't the game stamping that. we're an average team with a great goalie and usually good team defense. we only have like 6 regulation wins all year. we are where we are because of overtime. our offense just plain sucks. and our defense has pretty bad lately, too.
a shining example of why he should be pulled. his head is not in the game
I would pull him just because of the score and to give him some rest, but not because he broke his stick- I actually like to see the emotion- we need alot more of that from everyone else

agree x1000 .. would love to see some emotion out of this team right now...

once again, I agree, but it was after the 5th goal. A little late for him to show up to the party.
Just got home from work; avoided ESPN, etc. to watch the game on GCL. Saw the Ducks score two early and was like "...maybe I should skip ahead on this one as opposed to staying up to 2 watching a rout." Glad I did, going to sleep; looks brutal.
