What did I say? Never said that Omsk has a bad team, but that regular season roster looked pointless to the ultimate goal of producing future Avangard players. Also I pointed out that the best kids were added to this roster couple of games before regular season ended. Before that there was a good chance that it would be Barnaul not Omsk which would be facing Liepaja. Never said Omsk have no talant, but it was playing/hiding in JHL or some other regional tournament.

I'm all for tough games for LM, no point of beating Chisinau's of this league. Will see, how desperate Liepaja will become, they clearly have reserves in BOL. Also it would be nice if Omsk could bring more than 15 skaters to Latvia this time.

And I have no idea, how anything of what I wrote about Yastrebi could be said about CSKA. They don't even have a MHLB roster, so Red Army will have to pull it together themselves.

Can anyone give me links about potential MHL expansion to Western Europe (especially Austria)?

There's probably nothing of value in those articles really. Things happen fast in MHL, so Austria could have a MHL team out of blue during one weekend. It won't be a long planned expansion scrutinized by media

Of course additional uncertainty is aded by the fact that MHL and MHLB will be re-organized supposedly in one league. Hard to see it happening that simply, would two team clubs could have both in one league? Also how big that league would be? 50 teams? More/less?

So if both leagues are merged into a one, what will happen to remaining 10+ teams from MHL B?

MHL will add new clubs to MHL A or B. Forvard StPete, Elektrostal and Kuban applied, another clubs will do it later.

Plan is to divide MHL A into 2 separate leagues/conferences. One model is based on regional principe (like this year when East does not play against West) or quality of teams (classic euro model). MHL B teams will be divided into regional conferences/divisions, the best option is to have 4 (Efimov) not 3 like now.

We will see. I dont think the merger will happen soon.. MHL B clubs are not good enought and financially weak.. Efimov told he is dissapointed by promoted teams.

I understand that and I totally agree that manipulation must be stop but the kids adapt very well to USHL, to be honest he play fantastic since he came to Indiana. This kids have NHL potential and he will probably play CHL next year...

HK Riga 1:0 vs Vityazi, the young ''goons'' fought valiantly but I hope their fighting spirit is broken, as they're now 9 points from HK Riga (and last play-off place) in standings with 3 games left. Bukarts with only goal.

So battle for play-offs is as follows in the West:

7. Energija 62 games 101 points
8. HK Riga 61 games 98 points
---------------------------
9. Loko 61 games 96 points
10. Vityazi 61 games 89 points

Energija has two away games vs Patriot, HK Riga has Vityazi tomorrow and 2 games at home vs Kapitan, Loko has to face Shinnik away tomorrow and then two away games vs Yunost and Vityazi have Riga and 2 games vs Red Army left.

Riga has all the chances to finish 8th and if Energija slips maybe even 7, though it will be tight... Vityazi are out IMHO

На будущее какие планы? Про МХЛ забыли?

Почему же? Вопрос еще не закрыт как по МХЛ, так и по третьей команде.
Maybe Ust Kamenogorsk of Kazakhstan in MHL?

First part isn't that vital, but when you take in consideration that Omsk likes to join in, I guess you are right. But indeed, in general their kids nowadays aren't good enough for MHL-A.

And also LM won against Omsk in MHL-B and put on the show at the end.

First take a look at the protocol:

Then check out how the sin bin looked in life (unfortunately, wonderfully named Valdislav U, didn't join in for leaving the bench :

Don't forget Metallurg Magnitogorsk, they handpick a fair amount also. I still wish they participated in the MHL-A, even just to retain some talent.

Have to give credit to Kuznetsk's youth system, if their MHL team will make postseason, after giving up their biggest names to big leagues season after season and especially this year.

LM drops a game at home against Almetievsk, they probably deserved the loss just for assigning couple of older guys from main team after BOL playoff exit.

Also in a interview for Sovetsky Sport Efimov says that next year only two 21-year olds will be allowed per MHL roster and the year after these dinosaurs will be wiped out for good completely.
