Watching him play has been an absolute treat this year, it looks like he has an extra gear that he just never found in years before. His breakaway speed is absolutely amazing, he is such a dynamic and powerful player. When he is confident, there aren't many players that can match his talent level.
According to Roger Millions, Duchene is out tonight. I trust Moser more, but I'm sure we will hear one way or another soon.
Edit: He quickly reverses course

Appears as if #Avs will get Matt Duchene back tonight vs. #NHLFlames. Via @MChambersDP

@Nichols_NHLPool don't thank me Chris..Duchene just said he will try it. I hate morning skates sometimes...
I'm going to reserve my judgement on whether he should or shouldn't play until I see him skating. He shouldn't play if he is like he was for the last couple of games that he played, but if it has improved with the time off I am okay with it. Only the people that were at the morning skate really know which is the case.
When under contract, Ryan O'Reilly has done everything possible to help the Colorado Avalanche win hockey games. I would hope you, nor anybody else, would ever question that. My post had nothing to do with O'Reilly, though. You can leave the ill will in the relevant thread(s).
When he's already gliding, his first two steps pretty much bring him up to full speed and then he just keeps motoring past guys. On that pass to McGinn for the goal last night, he beat Keith through the neutral zone after just a couple steps, and then just glided in from the faceoff dots to the end boards. Keith was skating the whole way and still couldn't get to the puck first.
