Perry list of team will probably look like this:

In no order

Pittsburgh
Boston
Montreal
Toronto
NYR
Flyers
Take Pittsburgh off the list. If dude wants 7.5 million, Pittsburgh ain't offering. The cap comes down and the Pens need to resign Malkin and Letang.

Some of those other teams won't have cap space to sign him.

Hope it's true, we definitely have the cap space.
I could definitely see the Cole trade being a precursor to something like that happening.

The usual suspects will probably be top of his list:
Philly, Pitts, and maybe Rangers or Detroit.
I wonder if he would consider Toronto because it is close to London.

Can't see how PIT would fit a 7M+ cap hit.

Boston or Detroit for long term contracts.

Pens if he wants a short term deal.

I have to agree with this for the most part. The Ducks can get a 1st, a good prospect or young player, and top 6 forward easy for this guy.

Anaheim won't trade him, they're going for the Cup run.

Exactly, I'm sure Ducks fans feel the same as well. Does Perry have a limited trade clause?

He'd be a perfect fit for LA, but I doubt we could afford him. If we had the money, we would have a convincing offer for him, given he and many Kings players are good friends, he wouldn't have to move, and the Kings are a recent cup winner/contender.

Does the new cba, limit contract length to 6 yrs?

And is there a maximum amount, that teams can offer as far as salary?

As a Ducks fan, I will be furious if we lose him for nothing like Parise/Suter. Cup run or not, trade him. That is a huge asset to be able to move for some awesome pieces for the future. I understand that the Cup is always the ultimate goal, but unless we're still atop the standings in a month or so, trade him.

God that would sting to lose him for nothing.

No, we are free to trade him to Columbus if we want.

If Perry hits the open market, there is no doubt Holmgren will be right there with a truck load of cash. We have desperately needed the sniper to play with Giroux, and that would make a mean combo.

I think the avs are best set up as far as cap space going forward. Don't think he is likely to sign there, but i like how they are situated.
