I do think it's a good time for a buy low opportunity on Okposo. We could also possibly pull in a decent D prospect as they have some depth there.
Please explain WHY Snow is selling low, on a 24 yr old, making a prorated $2m?
Think Snow and Cappy aren't aware Okposo's a slow starter?
I made the same argument to NYI fans, who wanted Grabner dealt during this past offseason: so long as a core player is on a dirt cheap contract, Snow will show a lot of patience.
I doubt that San Jose would go for it but how about Seto for Dan Boyle?
bring in another veteran Dman
Dan Boyle's cap hit is near $7m. That alone makes it a non-starter. He's also old, and Seto is the only guy who hits anything in our top six. Plus Boyle is a -7 while seto is even +/- this year. No thanks.
How could the Wild even entertain letting Seto go for anything at this point? I understand why it was talked about at the start of the year but i think Heatleys performance or lack thereof changes the ability to move Seto.
Yeah I have no idea why people are STILL wanting to move Seto. We're the lowest scoring team in the league right now and you people want to trade away the ONLY capable right-handed forward we have? Really? Coyle is still unproven at this point.

I wonder if the Ducks will deal Ryan or Perry for cap reasons etc. or if it becomes obvious Perry won't resign. I think Getzlaf will resign there for sure but I could see them possibly moving one of either Ryan or Perry in order to keep the other. Wishful thinking that the Wild would get one of them though. Anaheim's price would be very very high and GMCF is shrewd at best. Won't give up the necessary assets and probably shouldn't. Just want a damn sniper on this team for once! A 40 goal scorer would be nice again. Haven't had one since Gabby

Heatley would either go the other way or be bought out this summer.
Heatley 7.5 million + Bouchard 4.1 million + Cullen 3.5 million + Backstrom 6.0 million + Harding 1.9 million = 17 million will all be off the books this summer. (Harding and Heatley by buyout). While Backstrom may be re-signed for something like 4 million/year, that's still 13 million for Perry plus 3 kids.
And when those kids need to be re-signed, Setoguchi, Brodziak, and Mitchell will be re-established (and therefore NOT being replaced by a kid) or they will be pushed out as well.
