Kesler out with a broken foot? I do believe in karma and that you get what you deserve sooner or later... Hockey gods hate diving as much as we fans do

Anaheim and Phoenix play each other three times in a row within a five-day span. Coincidentally, Phoenix hosts Minnesota tonight. Minnesota travels to Anaheim for a game tomorrow night.

It goes like this:

Saturday, 3/2: @ PHX
Monday, 3/4: @ PHX
Wednesday, 3/6: @ ANA

That's a little too much. It's almost a mini playoff series.

That's cool, I like the mini-series aspect, will be interesting to see if things get testy. I bet they will.

It would be nice if Anaheim would let us build some separation.

Definitely. Their hot start has been overshadowed by the Hawks

rumor has it that Perry will not be back with the Ducks after his contract is over. Will hit free agency.

Long term, obviously not, but I'd still give up a hell of a lot just to get a Cup run out of him and really go for it all. We have such a deep prospect pool, and not exactly a ton of slots to fill, that I would be all in favor of selling a few prospects just for essentially one playoff run out of Perry.

I think the Ducks prefer him being in the East... they could trade him to a team like PIT and get good prospects and a 1st back. Not the worst idea

Anaheim is one of the favorites to win the Cup now, they aren't freaking trading Perry.

I agree, and I'd be livid if I were a Ducks fan... but I think I saw the other day someone reporting the rumors had kicked up a little bit, although just rumors.

Depends on what we are talking about. Obviously Anaheim is a budget team and needs to think a little outside the box. If we are talking something like RoR and a nice plus added on, I mean, you really have to consider that. However, if the package isn't really, really good both this season and into the future then I agree for sure, you keep him and let him walk if he wants to go (which it seems that he does).

I wish the season ended today, playoffs set up like a dream for the Hawks

Hawks - San Jose
Anaheim - Dallas
Vancouver - St. Louis
Nashville - LA

Would love to play the Sharks, then probably Nashville, then get whoever grinds out Van vs St. Louis and then play Anaheim

Good move by the Flamers.
..maybe not. Could be giving up a top 5 pick in the draft.

It's worth mentioning that he signed it.

I'm sure there were other teams that filed offer sheets, but ROR picked the Calgary one.

I'm just glad something happened. I am not an Avs fan, so I haven't been emotionally involved and did not keep close tabs on the situation, but it's nice that a resolution is on the way. If I am Colorado, I take another pick. You can have two top-ten picks. You also get a third, too.

His QO is going to be 6.5mil at the end of the contract. If he under performs, CGY might have to walk away from him. If he excels, it's a decent deal I guess.

Still think CGY needs to rebuild, not trade potential top 5picks for 2nd liners.

I feel like I'm having a brain fart.

So QO is qualifying offer, correct? Is it basically like ROR will get paid $3.5 million this year and then the team has a $6.5 million option on him the next year?

Help me out. Usually I'm good with this stuff, but I am kind of lost.

After Bowman offered that big deal for Parise, I feel like he will make a play for Perry.

I could see something like 12 years and $80-85 million offered.
