I don't even know where to put this, but everyone has to watch this.

This is a Canucks' fan's video from the playoff series. I found this while looking for Richards clips from that series. It's as funny as it gets

What kind of a psycho paints their bedroom pink?

I was just looking at the standings, and it seems like shootouts are a lot more common in the west than the east, 8 teams have multiple SO wins in the west and only 2 do in the east. Also, 10 of 15 teams in the east have participated in 1 or no SOs, while only 2 teams in the west can make that claim.

So apparently, two former kings' properties were traded for one another:

Joe Piskula for Brian McGrattan.

I noticed that this morning as well - 11 SO Wins in the East compared to 25 in the West. Interesting statistic in that there is that much of a difference.

The real question is why? Is there just more parity in the West and less so in the East? Gonna have to keep an eye on this as it does have me curious.

Loktionov does it again. Second of the year for NJ. 4 Game point streak for him

Quick update on the Henrique-Lokti-Kovy line

Henrique is taking the faceoffs but Lokti is playing the C role .

I think it has to do with style of play. The West tends to play tight defense and then clamp down and hold onto a one goal lead. We see more 2-1 3-2 games. The East i see more 4-2 5-3 games. The play a more wide open style and try to build on a lead.

Do gloryhunting Wings fans also infest the Shark Tank like they do Staples and Ponda?

Huh? The Avs have him for $5 million per season. His contract is $3.5 and $6.5 for $10 million over two years.

I think maybe he was referencing that his RFA offer sheet after next year will have to be at $6.5m. That, trade him (after 1 calendar year) or let him walk for nothing.

a qualifying offer of 5 million is much more reasonable than 6.5

The most annoying thing about the Hawks doing so well are my Chicago friends who are all of a sudden "massive fans" of the team. These are the same people who didn't know how to pronounce Toews and Byfuglien and would only turn into the Playoffs. Ugh.
