I still have nearly 300 PM's saved- the good ones and some from Terry. I know its dumb and I realize his wife and family missed him but he used to tell me about his dogs and send pictures and I used to think how those poor animals must be heart broken as well

I didn't really know Terry as I was new to the board.

How old was he and what happened to take him from this world ?

Terry would have been my age. 55. He was from Winnipeg. Loved the Jets and hockey. He adopted the Bruins when the the Jets left although they were always his second favorite team. He loved his family and pets. Great guy.

He came here during what we refer to as the ESPN wars. many migrated here from there at the same time. Now Terry was a very passionate and vocal individual. He had a hard time at first transitioning to the stricter rules here. So in my role we shall I say got to know each other.

But over time we became good friends and he adapted to this site as if he had always been here. Contributing daily to our family here.

Then one day he just disappeared. In the first post Randy has his obituary. Terry went out shopping like any other day and suffered a massive heart attack and passed away. Gone. Just like that.
Somewhere in this thread his wife found our page on his computer still logged in. She posted thanking all of us for our heartfelt sorrow and his rememberence. Post 171.

Thanks Wally.

I know after the B's parade in 2011 Everett Mike, and the rest of us had a toast to Terry.

You just never know...It's strange getting older. You loose parents, aunts , uncles, friends, musicans and actors you grew up liking...hockey people.

Enjoy life everyone. Be kind to the ones you love and tell then often how you feel.

Life is indeed short.

I am sure Terry is here in spirit with us.

Terry and Randy are the guys who introduced me to the site when we were swimming in the muck that was ESPN forums. He was a great, fun poster and guy.

This was well before my time, yet I've always wondered about "Backin '72." Very cool of you all to remember him in this way. No surprise. I expect nothing less.

I still miss and think of Terry often.
First thing I did after we won the cup, was think of him.
To this day, I still find his last post on here very sublime..... only a couple hours before his death, he was on here comforting KPD with the loss his mother.
Terry won't be forgotten by me.

Absolutely. Well before my time, but I always love hearing about him.

On top of it all, after a 40+ mile commute every day (40+ miles both ways, 80+ total every day) on 128 and legitimately thanking the guy up high that I'm still alive because of all the reckless drivers, it's really great to know I'm posting with a punch of class acts who also love discussing the Bruins!

Terry was one of them. Also, stood by his convictions, whether it was popular or not. Didn't know him well, but he was one of the guys who made me feel especially welcome here, and I've been here since.

He was among the angels on our shoulders on the Cup run, no doubt.

Dan, I too still have some PM from Terry, just couldnt bring myself to delete them. Man he loved those dogs, greyhounds or part grey hounds if I recall correctly.
