Only six more episodes left this season, 2 in March, 2 in April, and 2 in May. Next new episode is March 18th.

A decent episode IMO (by season 8 standards, that is).
The thing is, these plots are getting so ridiculous that the story doesn't even feel real anymore. Same with the Flanderization of the characters.
I guess this sort of thing happens a lot when the show runs too long. Happened to the Simpsons, happened (a little bit) to Frasier. Oh well.

it killed the current storyline, with an acceptable side-story with lilly and marshall.
we're at the point now where the next woman ted dates is the mother. We're almost there folks.

What the hell? So 6 episodes within the next 3 months or so? Fantastic.

Liked what I saw, but the audio completely went out due to DTV screwing up after about halfway.

"I understand that... I understand that... I understand that... fine."
That part was brilliant, because they let your imagination essentially be Barney.

You probably missed Barney being disgusting and/or the same story being retold by different points of view.

Average episode (for season 8). Best parts were skittles (only part i actually laughed out loud) and Ted talking to Barney with his earpiece at the bar.
You pretty much expect a show like this that has lasted so long to gradually decline around the season 4/5 mark. By the end of its run, the show is far inferior to what it once was (kinda like the Office). But even so, I'll continue to watch it, partly because I've been invested in the show for so long that I want to see how it ends, but also because even though it's not as good as it used to be, it's still better then most other shows.

His stoic glare as all those skittles fell made me. You could almost tell Segel wanted to bust out laughing.
Loved the whole bar scene too.

I was watching an older episode last night and noticed another scene where you could tell Segel was close to laughing:

After he whips the ball you can see him noticeably smiling when he's trying to convey anger.

Bill Hader will legit crack up on SNL from time to time and it always makes the skits so much funnier when he does. Couldn't find any clips from a live show, but this dress rehearsal clip had me in stitches. Skip to 3:30

Yeah, he does that a lot, especially when he comes on Weekend Update as Stefan. And yes, it does make it funnier
Segal tries not to cross the line, but man, you can tell he's just waiting for the "cut" to go crazy.

The person that actually laughs the most after takes is Radnor. Harris is the most composed. At least from what I saw in the bloopers.

Surprised to see no one commented on this weeks episode yet. Thought it was pretty awful, was hoping they could build on last episode's success. The gay joke was alright at first but got boring fast, the British TV show joke was predictable and bland and the apartment gadgets were all pretty silly and unfunny. Really getting tired of this show fast

No, Robin. Barney's inventions aren't "pervy." They're sociopathic devices to torture women. RUN. #HIMYM
