Ah, well he only had 18 mins of ice time which is a little low for him.

Im happy they lost the last couple games. They haven't played def since the buf game. This team needs to learn how to play def I dunno if losing will change that or not but its not gonna change if they win pond hockey games like the buf game.

Has anyone noticed that when Pens play bad, they STAY bad the whole game? when we play teams that have bad 1st periods, they always seems to get better as the game ends. What is the difference? noticed that for a long time, even last season.

I'll take a shot at one of these:

+'s
Fleury - played well, no thanks to the team
Neal's shot - Just so fast and clean
Bylsma actually using a time out early in the game, not that it mattered

=
Sid - a lot of turn overs, his blind passes are horrible, but he is always a danger

-'s
Defense
Power Play
Penalty Kill
Hitting the Post
Goals scored against us with under 30 seconds left in the period
Taking Penalties...

The negatives could go on forever. I don't even know what to say about Letang anymore.

Don't worry, ray is waiting for the PERFECT trade to come along....

I stopped watching after the 2nd period. If this team doesn't give a ****, then why should I?

What a horrible performance. When we lose, we get dominated. There are literally zero close losses. Even when the score might say otherwise, we never deserve to even be in the games we lose.

Shades of last playoffs, and nothing has changed because the people in charge are incapable of changing themselves.

Whatever.

Fact. Aside of a couple very well known guys on our team, the Pens are really a bunch of fourth liners and scrubs. Are our expectations too high--methinks so.

One and out in the spring--bank on it.

+ Fleury. One or two snafus playing the puck but honestly, he was solid in net the entire game.

- Forward corps. I think we had two shifts where we gained the zone and kept possession for a little bit. No one except Vitale looked like they had any legs.

- Crosby. It pains me of course, but he was just too damn quiet in all respects. I don't know what goes on in the locker room but he doesn't seem like he's doing any more with that "C" than wearing it on his sweater.

- - - Glass. Scratch him, I am friggin done with him. He takes penalties frequently, the PK he's a part of isn't good, and he has zero offensive talent. How does this not translate to a scratch? Oh, sorry I forgot who the coach was.

- Neal. Need WAY more from him when he's not scoring, sorry. It's even more critical when one of our stars is hurt.

- Niskanen looked lost for half the game. A pass to a Cane right in the slot who was right in his view! Then he stands there and watches E. Staal try to ram a hole in Fleury's pad with the puck. Bad, bad game buddy.

- - - Letang. Confession time: Letang is really really good. I'm glad he's on the team. It would be almost impossible to trade him. That said, I personally don't "like" him. Again, great player it's just my personal taste. I can't stand his cheap cross checks in the corners that are honestly vicious all the time. Then any time he gets hit he acts like a 10 year old. Did it twice tonight and the Flyers took advantage of it last year. He's a ****ing punk, plain and simple. Oh, and he double clutches every time he could shoot the puck instead. Big middle finger to him tonight.

+MAF
+/=Cooke
+/=Kunitz
- The rest

Started to think... when was the last time we won a game by playing good hockey? We always have a sudden meltdown, happen to suck less than the other team or something similar. Our games are never a solid 60min effort. Not panicking yet, just getting a bit frustrated.

Or maybe this is their game. Crosby, Neal, and a bunch of grinders. It's Dan Bylsma's dream roster, Euro free at last.

Some of these teams, even if they're not winning every game still look like they're having fun. The Pens go down one goal they see a mole hill as a mountain.

Because the Pens SHOULD have some strength on the back-end, and the 3 Canes goals I saw were all a major issue with our blue liners...

I'd like to see sid-duper-kunitz back together. If u move neal with sutter maybe you get 2 scoring lines instead of the one scoring line we have now.

Montreal was handedly outplayed in every game except the last, TB squeaked by us in 7 games while having a massive advantage in roster talent because of our injuries. The Flyers series is the only one that should be truly concerning to anyone. And the one constant in our post Cup win playoff appearances nobody seems to want to acknowledge? Our goalie getting badly outplayed.

Certainly the wrong time to make this argument though, so I'll just leave it at that. This team isn't nearly as bad or as far from contending as people seem to believe. A healthy Geno, a deadline acquisition or two, they'll be a favorite against any team in the East not named Boston.

+ Joe Vitale. He's one of the only guys on the team that doesn't take a shift off.

+ Dupuis. He's the other. Shame he just isn't more talented.

+ Engelland. Was pretty invisible out there, which is what you want from a bottom d'man. Solid and steady, as usual.

+ Fleury. Game should have been 8-1. I've given up on him learning how to play a puck behind the net, so no use commenting on it anymore.

+ Martin. Easily our best defensman. Hope he isn't injured.

- What an embarrssing display of hockey. No heart, no hustle, no nothing. Just a bunch of clowns skating around the ice like retards.

- Dan Bylsma. I fully believe he has lost this team. How much longer is this going to go on? And then, just for good measure, he pulls the goalie down by 3 w/ 1 minute left.

- Letang, Orpik, Nisky, Bortuzzo. How many can we scratch for next game? I'd be fine seeing Despres, Eaton, Reese, and Morrow next game. Want to send a message to the team? Start by scratching these idiots.

- James Neal. Remember when Mario came back that time, and was basically a PP specialist? Neal must think he's the same, cause you don't even see him 5 on 5.

- Kennedy, Cooke, Glass, Adams. I lumped them all together because they're all the same guy. They all suck, and aside from penalty killing, they serve no purpose whatsoever on this team.

- Me, for actually sitting through that pathetic display.

This game is 8-1 after two without Fleury standing on his head half the night. Scary . . . he gives up four, and he's the biggest plus out of the lot.

Didn't see the third period as I left for work after two. But the game of course was already over.

I seriously don't know if I could add anything I haven't written here an untold amount of times already.

Just this repetition then - this team is showing every possible indication that it is a poorly coached hockey team.

... and that certainly does not suggest that there are no roster limitations, just that I am fed up watching the ongoing 'de-structurization' of the Pittsburgh Penguins into a clueless, heartless and BORING hockey team.

I hope Bylsma is sacked, and I care less about who we get instead. There.
