Why you can only pin someone with your finisher or a crappy rollup no matter how many devestating moves you apply to your opponent during the match.

I "like" how wrestlers always fall into certain positions ONLY based on who they're wrestling. Like no one will ever fall onto the center of the middle rope unless Mysterio is their opponent, etc.
People land on the middle rope all the time. Its just everyone points it out for Mysterio because its his finish

A 5'10 190 lb dude going toe toe for 5 minutes with a 7 foot 400 lb dude never made much sense to me.

If two wrestlers are fighting in the ring during some interview/promo segment, it's a lot easier for them to hit their finisher than if it were a regular match. Also, it's a lot easier to hit your finisher in the Royal Rumble than in an actual match.

At the beginning/middle of a match, Big Show will punch a guy in the ribs instead of just simply hitting his knockout punch and end the match.

My roommate who never watches wrestling made this comment the other night during the Cena/Punk match: "Why when a guy is running the ropes and the other guy jumps up does the dude running not just stop and take him out in midair instead of running all the way under him?"

But they don't usually stay on the middle rope for that long though. And it's not like Mysterio knocks his opponent out before the opponent is on the middle rope. Mysterio usually puts the opponent on the middle rope with a kick to the back, a drop toe hold, or a hurricanrana. And the opponent just stays there for a few seconds and Mysterio hits the 619. If I was in a match with him, once I feel rope on my chest, I'd quickly get out of the ring.

When Randy Orton pulls someone through the ropes to give him a DDT, why on earth do they tense their leg muscles so they're held up a few seconds for effect?

They do in Christian matches, any big man match that has the crush the guy on the middle rope spot, or the do the sliding crush where the runner ends up on the outside. It happens enough

Or why does A who sent B into the ropes duck (Lawler: "He telegraphed that one!") just to be kicked in the face. What is A even supposed to be trying to do?

Ah, if it isn't my old friend, Bonobf! Ah yes, I have shared many a pleasant memory with this one. Like the time he said the Rock only cares about money. The laughs we had! And, of course, The "That grown men watch it and spend so much money following it." post on a WRESTLING forum! I'll never forget that! Oh Bonny, I hope you stick around for a long time!

Cheers,

Anyway, I'll never understand the Kane-Cena-Ryder storyline.

You're writing this on a wrestling forum. You were complaining not too long ago about the content on the show. Now you post this.

I'm sensing something here...

Yeah watching the shows on TV and then downloading/streaming PPVs puts a real dent in my wallet

Not to mention all the wrestling based web browsing.

I always thought that Kingston told WWE "hey, I'm not really from Jamaica you know" and vince was like "WHAT?!?!" and told the writing staff to stop being idiots. Much in the same way that Zach Ryder and Hawkins were brothers for a week or two before they dropped that.

What has driven me battiest in the WWE happened at Summer Slam either 2005 or 2006. We had Matt Hardy come back for his big match against Edge after the Lita/Matt/Edge BS. They stopped the match because Edge "beat the crap" out of Matt and Matt was bleeding so much the ref stops the fight.

In the main event we got Hogan/HBK. HBK dragged that match to decent, and there was blood out the wazoo. Easily triple the blood in the match earlier in the night. So why didn't the ref stop the fight for loss of blood?

It's on in my house because my 9 year old twins enjoy it. Other than that, it would not be on my TV.

Thanks for the beer, SheamusFan! I am always ready to drink with a friend.
