Oh very intense, game 4 also was double OT. Except for game 2, the whole series was back and forth.

Yeah that would be great to have

VS. QUARTERFINAL MATCHUP:

Game One: The Rangers came out determined in front of the sold out Madison Square Garden. The Penguins didn't help their chances with 3 very early penalties in which led to a 2-0 deficit after the 1st period. The Rangers didn't stop there though, they tallied on one more in the 2nd and then Marc-Andre Fleury let in a very soft goal in the 3rd. The Rangers continued their stellar play and took Game 1 by the score of 4-0.
FINAL SCORE: NYR 4 - PIT 0

Game Two: The Penguins decided to go with Tomas Vokoun in Game 2 after Marc-Andre Fleury had a rough go in Game 1. The game started off evenly matched until Sidney Crosby sniped one to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead. Rick Nash quickly responded and after the 1st it was 1-1. The 2nd period, both teams had their fair share of chances but the score remained the same after 2. The tie was broken when Chris Kunitz buried home a rebound with 6 minutes left and the Penguins defense held up to take one at MSG and bring the series back to Pittsburgh tied at 1 game a piece.
FINAL SCORE: PIT 2 - NYR 1

Game Three: Tomas Vokoun was given the start in Game 3 after his great play in Game 2 in New York. Vokoun let in a very weak rebound goal to Rick Nash right in the beginning of the game though showing his age. Matt Read then tallied one with less than a minute remaining in the 1st to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead going into the 2nd. Nash then tallied in another one in the 2nd on a forehand-backhand that fooled Vokoun. Kunitz tallied though on a short-handed goal to cut the deficit to 3-1 after 2. Paul Martin added another one with less than a minute left in the 3rd but then he took a penalty and they couldn't add the tying goal.
FINAL SCORE: NYR 3 - PIT 2

Game Four: The Penguins decided to go back with starting goalie Marc-Andre Fleury for Game 4. James Neal scored quickly against his old team to give the Rangers a 1-0 and silenced the Pittsburgh crowd. Rick Nash then puts one away with 3 minutes left in the 1st to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead. In the 2nd, Pascal Dupuis notched one on the Power Play. Joe Vitale then evened the score on a pure hustle play. After a few minutes of back and forth play, Mike Rupp joins to scoring to give the Rangers a 3-2 lead with 4 minutes left in the 2nd period. 7 minutes into the 3rd, Sidney Crosby evened the scoring once again on a snap shot. This back and forth game was finally broken when James Neal added his 2nd of the game and with the net pulled, Rick Nash sealed the deal.
FINAL SCORE: NYR 5 - PIT 3

Game Five: Madison Square Garden was ecstatic in hopes to see their New York Rangers send the Pittsburgh Penguins packing. The Penguins came out strong knowing that they needed to win to stay alive in the series but Sergei Bobrovsky matched every Penguins chance and the score stayed at 0-0 after the 1st. The tie was broken five minutes into the 2nd when Marian Gaborik hammered home a wrist shot. Shortly after, Malkin hit the post on a wide open net and the Rangers capitalized and made it 2-0. Two minutes into the 3rd, Chris Kunitz burried home a rebound. Then one minute later Matt Cooke tied the game up. With five minutes left, Marian Gaborik sniped the game winner past Vokoun on the power play.
FINAL SCORE: NYR 3 - PIT 2

NEW YORK RANGERS ADVANCE & WIN THE SERIES 4-1
