All-Time Fantasy Draft

wAll-Time Fantasy Draft

Rules:

1) Every player in the history of football is eligible in this draft.
2) Each team will have 12 hours to pick a player. After that the turn will be passed to the next player. Please send a PM to the manager in line to inform that it's his/her turn.
3) Each team will have 13 players to pick including 1 goalkeeper.
4) A team has an option to pick one player from the losing team
5) Each player will be judged on it's peak.
6) This will be a 8 player competition with the games starting from QF to SF and then the final.
7) Snake draft will be used. Down, up, down etc.

Draft order will be decided by me from randomizer.org

Once the draft is complete, match threads will be started where each manager's pitch is posted with their match team and tactics. It doesn't have to be much, but just so the voters get an idea of how you will play your team.

Each game will last for 24 hours. If the voting has been split I will simply draw lots.

You can use http://www.footballuser.com/ / http://this11.com/boards/editor to form your team.

I'm in.

Edit: I think you should have a certain amount of time and or posts to join. I've seen a lot of drafts on HFboards stop half way through because a newbie stopped showing up.

I'm in, though my team will probably be **** due to my lack of real knowledge of football history besides some basics.

No problem. You will learn alot from participating as long as you take it fairly seriously (read on about players, etc.) and that's part of the fun.

I would love to give this another shot. I was a newbie last time, think a draft worth of research will have served me well.

We're 8 now, but I'll give it some time and see if we can get 16, even if it doesn't seem likely right now.

I think 8 is fine. 16 will take forever. You can always do 10. Two groups of 5 :-)

Since there doesn't seems to be more interest I've decided to start the draft now.

I used randomizer.org to decide the draft order and here it goes:

Draft order:

1. Live in the Now
2. TomFr96
3. GarretJoseph
4. JaymzB
5. DisgruntledHawkFan
6. GB
7. Que
8. Valverde

Lionel Messi.

He's probably the easiest to plug into a modern formation, which is what I would prefer to do.

Diego Maradona. Could plug in as a false nine, supporting striker, lone in a 4-2-3-1, anything. Lethal on the ball, amazing finisher.

Might not be a "sexy choice" but falling down to #3 I have to go with Pele.

Sorry. Didn't realize we'd start so quick.

I'll take Johan Cruyff.

As a KNVB and Ajax fan, I guess I'm happy with this pick!!

I'm pretty sure he's been my first pick the last two times we did this as well but I'll pick Ferenc Puskás.

I've got a list of 5 players, I'm hoping to snag 2 of them with my first picks. Puskas was top but Cruyff and Beckenbauer were 2 of the others. I hope one of them's still on the board for my next pick.
