So you're essentially saying that you're buying drinks if the whole HFBoards gang hangs out?

Swedish American Hospital in the heart hospital. It's in Rockford.

And regarding buying drinks, ill consider it

Whatever happened to that, anyway? There was talk of a get-together somewhere to watch a game. I'd consider seeing your ugly mugs in person.

Good deal. Have heard of it but being in Chicago obviously not much more familiar with it than that. Never been.

Jobs for nurses have dried up in the Chicagoland area depending on what you are focusing on. I know a girl who graduated from SLU, #2 nursing school in the country, who couldn't find a job she wanted around here so she stayed in St. Louis. She graduated with high honors too. There are shortages in some areas though.

Plenty of jobs for nurses in the Rockford area where cost of living is significantly lower than Chicago

Yeah there are a lot of RN jobs but the problem is a lot either A. require experience already or B. are in less than desirable positions i.e. nursing homes, rehabilition facilities, etc. Some desirable positions won't require experience but then there will be hundreds applying so the competition is tough. It's still a career route I'd recommend to anyone because work can be found and it opens a lot of doors to various positions and you can do it a long time. I'm not an RN, myself, but like I said I come from a family of them and know lots that are either friends and/or colleagues through work. Healthcare, generally speaking, is a good way to go for a career because it's more economy/recession-proof than a lot of other careers, but no career is completely immune.

Providing vices and treating the fallout of aforementioned vices will never be low in demand.

B dubs on 95th tonight for the game if anyone is interested in meeting up. First beers on me.

That B Dubs is the only one I know of that lets underage (under 21) sit in the bar area. With it being so small it annoys the crap out of me when I see 10 kids sitting there with 5 wings each and waters. I'll pay good money to sit, drink, and eat for the whole game. Dumb management decision there. Chuck-E-Cheese is probably open until 10, so move on out.

Yeah. When I was looking for a job out of college with my degree in computer science I had 2 options. 54k a year in Chicago doing IT consulting or $25 an hour in Belvidere ($52k a year) with OT. I make more here and it's not even close after cost of living and all that fun stuff.

I always want access to the city. My goal is to live in a suburb within 35 minutes of the city.

Problem is the suburbs right outside the city cost so much more. If you get a good job it's ok, but straight out of college it's harder to make enough to have enough money to do what you want to in the city.

Chuck E Cheese rules. They serve beer and all the games are a quarter.

Those people are stupid.

I'm 18, and I know people that will do stupid crap like that. I go to BWW quite a bit. Actually, I go too much. When some of my closest friends friends are back for college, we'll go a disgusting amount. At minimum, I get 18 wings. I do get water since the wings are a hair overpriced, but I don't snack there. I glam food there.

You can't get in without a kid. I throw my 2 year old in the ballpit and play the Simpson's arcade game.

Speaking of The Simpson's, I was talking with some friends the other day about random stuff related to it.

A game I was reminded I miss:
