The correct answer is "Hainsey was on the ice for 5 goals - four against the Jets and one for the Jets."

Speaking of...I couldn't believe it when I watched the late Oilers game and saw them clearing the crease. You can do that?! Someone should tell Hainsey about that!

BTW: What happened to Ray Neufeld on the pre- and post-game shows? Did he get snapped up by the main network or something? Ha ha, just kidding - Ray was the worst thing to happen to radio since television.

Disingenuous is five syllables. I can't use big words like that. How could I be disingenuous?

Wazny is terrible. he can't say a sentence without constantly saying "you know", or "I mean you know"

He offers no insight into the game at all. After the Florida game they had JP Vigier on, much better speaker and offered up much better comments than Wazny does.

Sadly the next night Wazny was on so I shut the radio off

I enjoy Ricks lunchtime show, Rona Round Table

He's a big step up from Ray "Earcrime" Neufeld.

I enjoyed Rick's interview of Grant Clitsome's dad - they spent more time talking about NTSB and investigating airplane crashes than they did talking about Grant and hockey (did they ever get around to that topic?). Probably for the best, anyway...

Sadly Wazny who I used to like when he was with the FP and would come on to talk about the Bombers just annoys the **** out of me now. He's joined all the other negative, get some notoriety guys, like Friesen, whose sole purpose is to infuriate people to get people to notice/read them. I prefer actual analysis of the game as opposed to the whining that masquerades as commentary. Shane Hnidy is way better than any of them. At least he's played in the NHL and has some background to make the comments that he does.

Yes JP, another ex-player with good insight into the game on the ice instead of the view from the press box.

Virtuity Mortgage St. Louis Blues Ryan Reaves

Joins the show at 12:30pm on Thursday. We'll talk about his life after being a "star" in the Virtuity Mortgage ads on TSN 1290 (tongue and cheek). I'll ask him about having played with Anthony Peluso and Ben Bishop.

Are you retiring soon? Message Board Curmudgeon seems like a laid back vocation.

1. Two vultures board an airplane, each carrying two dead raccoons. The
stewardess looks at them and says, "I'm sorry, gentlemen, only one carrion
allowed per passenger."

I have no problem with RR until he says Burmistrov. Learn how to pronounce his name correct. It drives me crazy when sports announcers don't learn proper names. Isn't that part of their job?

bur-MEE-strov. At least that's what he told me. How did he tell you how to pronounce it? Refief Goosen was always pronounced with a hard G. It's proper pronunciation is Hoosen, but no one pronounces it that way. The industry needs experts like you. Apply now.

Thick skin always needed. Opinions always welcomed. Challenges sometimes challenged...usually can't be bothered. Today I'm bored.

I should point out that that was more or less a good-natured jab on my part Rick. I don't mind the wordplay, although it is occasionally groan inducing....
