The 2013 Draft Thread - who do we pick/who do we want?

NHL.com so far has us predicting picking these various prospects in the first round:

21 Nashville Predators
Kerby Rychel, C/LW, Windsor (OHL)
SKINNY:
Speedy forward with offensive prowess excelling on a struggling Spitfires team

21 Nashville Predators
Ryan Hartman, RW, Plymouth (OHL)
SKINNY:
Versatile offensive talent can play center/wing, excels at speed on forecheck and loves physical play

21 Nashville Predators
Robert Hagg, D, Modo Jr. (SWE-JR)
SKINNY:
Made a solid contribution to silver-medalist Sweden at '13 WJC; two-way defender with accurate shot

I'm sold.

Then again, I'd be shocked to see us picking at 21.

Where does everybody have us picking this year? I'd say 11-17.

Assuming Poile doesn't trade our 1st for a grinder, I see us between 11 and 20. Either close to a playoff spot or a first round exit.

The absolutely best player at the last spot.

My personal hope is picking 9th and taking Hunter Shinkaruk

More realistically, I see us at 14 and would love Adam Erne at that spot, but there are a couple of players that scream Poile:

Curtis Lazar
Rasmus Ristolainen
Alexander Wennberg

Mark this thread...I have a feeling one of those three is our first round pick.

This screams Poile.

I said we either are close to a playoff spot or lose in round on. If we finish #10 in the west, just missing the playoffs, we could have #11.

Finisihing 9th ot 10th in the west will probably put the pick at 15 to 18 when you look at how the East is going right now. With Coumbus having three first rounders its not out of the question they could win the lottery with one of there extra picks placing them having the 1st and 2nd pick overall along with a third 1st determined by the finish of the team that origionally held that pick.

If I were guessing Preds finish 10th or 11th in the west and get the 12th or 13th pick.

I'd take any of the three, but interesting that the first two are sons of former NHL players turned coaches. Kerby Rychel is Warren Rychel's son and Ryan Hartman is the son of Mike Hartman.

Hagg impressed me in some limited viewings during international play.
