how fast you gotta be on the power play?

again , I'm not talking Kovy on first line ...

Power play and bottom lines,and Shootout....28 games,not 2 or 3 years.

Dont forget Kovy was getting 30-40 pt a yr on PP with Montreal....

I would rather give Leblanc or Dumont a chance.........Pretty much a slap in the face to bring old Kovy back.
Forget it.

Utterly pointless.

Let's start by giving PP time to Alex Galchenyuk or to Brandon Gallagher before starting to give it to a player of another team...

yes Kovelev as a HAB had 32 pp points, then 22 then 47 then final yr 31 points on the power play,...but not sure if this Kovelev guy is better then some Habs on PP ..lol sure he might have slowed a bit, but not on dud on the PP, he can still be effective IMHO..

Would you rather send Kovy in on a shootout?hasn't lost his hands...

You need to get out more Habaneros, I think you're losing it. Kovy, what a joke.

How can this even be serious, he isn't an option, and it's not like we're playing bad right now.
We also have young players in the AHL waiting for a chance/ second chance

Yeah he was good...50% of the time. He's washed up. Just sit and think about it for a second: the Florida Panthers have no interest in him. Florida. Panthers.

Seriously, think about that.

Can't make Florida lineup, but somehow he will make ours? No way. This train has passed.

If not for this team's new high paced forechecking system I'd say go for it. He wouldn't be a good fit here, and he may not have had rubbed some of his old teammates the right way. He's a better player than Nokelainen.

I liked him while he was here, even if he only played every 2nd or 3rd game... but no thanks. That era is done and over with.

Kovalev is about as far the opposite of what MT and Mb want on the 4th line as you can get.

kovy put up like 130 plus power play points in 4 seasons in montreal...forget the forcheck

Obvioisly Marc B said he got Ryder to help the pp...seems he feels there is a problem......a 500,000 roll on guy (kovy)who in montreal put up 130 plus pp points in 4yrs as a hab...Isnt a crazy idea.

Again, not far fetched....strongly should be considered.

Really eh?again Kovy 130 plus power play points as a hab....now look at the last sentence in the paragraph below, you see what concerns MB......

The difference being that Ryder is a good player, and Kovalev is a 40 year old that struggles to put up points, and is a healthy scratch on a basement team.

I wanted Sheldon Souray back(for pp purposes)...when he wasn't good enough for Oilers,...many here said i was crazy,he's done washed up(ahl).....

Kovy FOR power play purposes.....i repeat...power play ...

Now in a recent HABS shootout loss ,i see a habs shooter who was a career 2 for 24 in the shoot out shooting....would i send in KOVY instead? yes..and that might have meant an extra point..

Again ,.not Kovy at 20 mins a night.....or top lines....ok?

Yay. 150%. He could really, really surprise, and he would help our PP tremendously.
