CBJ apparently get to add people to the active roster for the Nikitin fight.

Nikitin loses a fight, but gains several #CBJ teammates.

Count me as one who doesn't like the new code where you have to fight after a big hit. People act like you don't have team spirit if you don't fight after a clean hit. But this is totally new. Dirty hits are a different story, but that Carcillo hit was fine.

Umberger made a couple good defensive plays, and I spotted one block. He's there.

In a vacuum, I agree with you, and in this case, the Carcillo hit was good. But it's nice to see the Jackets doing this kind of thing.

Its a lot of harder to tell what's clean and not when you're on the ice and things happen at NHL game speed.

When a cheapshot artist lines up a player and drills him, there is nothing wrong with going after that player.

A couple very nice defensive plays by Tyutin on that shift.

I like that Nikitin stood up for his teammate, stupid, wrong or right. Period. A little of this kind of attitude goes a long way, IMO. God knows we could've used it a few times from the skipper over the last several years.

I've been hearing the other teams announcers for several games now, and they all have talked about how hard the Jackets work.

All off the great cycle. We've been lacking that cycle all season long, hopefully we can have more than that glimmer from the Arty-Cam-Calvert line.

I think the Jackets' haphazard play actually confuses the Blackhawks.

Emery good tonight too. Two of the most maligned netminders (deserved) the last couple seasons.

I was starting to think that Joey was just slow, but then he has been flying in recent games. What is with this kid? Despite his scoring slump, I'm more optimistic with him than I have been in a while. He's looked better on faceoffs and on the boards too.
