Count me as one who doesn't like the new code where you have to fight after a big hit. People act like you don't have team spirit if you don't fight after a clean hit. But this is totally new. Dirty hits are a different story, but that Carcillo hit was fine.

The difference in skill between the two teams is stunning - tic tac toe passes on one end, and a team that has a hard time even cycling the puck on the other. Anyone know whether Umberger is playing tonight - he's turned into Casper the ghost, freakin' invisible.
Umberger made a couple good defensive plays, and I spotted one block. He's there.

In a vacuum, I agree with you, and in this case, the Carcillo hit was good. But it's nice to see the Jackets doing this kind of thing.

When a cheapshot artist lines up a player and drills him, there is nothing wrong with going after that player.
I like that Nikitin stood up for his teammate, stupid, wrong or right. Period. A little of this kind of attitude goes a long way, IMO. God knows we could've used it a few times from the skipper over the last several years.

Jeez.................Nash is gone, get over it...................
I was starting to think that Joey was just slow, but then he has been flying in recent games. What is with this kid? Despite his scoring slump, I'm more optimistic with him than I have been in a while. He's looked better on faceoffs and on the boards too.
