I'd love to see Nash as the alternate captian

I thought the same thing. Getting crashed into by his Dman probably didn't help.

Deserves it more than Richards, agreed, but I feel Girardi has been overlooked when it comes to picking a new alternate ever since Callahan was named captain.

Girardi wore the A in Staal's absence but deserves to be alternate captain in stead of Richards.

I disagree. Richards is a mentor to more than half of this team. While he may not be producing yet this year, ask DelZotto or Stepan how much he means to them as a leader on this team. And I think Slick Rick is loving life as just a player on the team and not having to shoulder a leadership role.

Guys a monster but how about be scores a goal against a division rival in a big game before we start pinning letters in him . It's bad enough Richards wears one over Girardi

14 points in 15 games in a defense first oriented lame system.

we've had plenty of "mentors'" over the years. I want leaders who lead by example.

Callahan does it on the ice, Richards does it off the ice. Not enough?

He can have all three letters if he puts team on his back and starts lighting up teams like the pens , Devils , Flyers in Big games that mean something . Rick is the real deal but takes more than late goals against the Bolts for me to give him a letter.

There's a few people on this team who could have an argument for them to get an 'A.' Nash maybe after this season if he keeps it up, but I wouldn't give him one right now. Girardi clearly next in line, considering he was wearing an 'A' in Staal's absence. Perhaps McDonagh is too young, but he certainly plays like he deserves an 'A'

Knowing Torts though, when Richards leaves he'll give it to Boyle

"Don't want to alarm anyone.."

proceeds to tell potentially bad news to people who are prepared for this:

No way, this is the second event he missed, the first being the season subscriber event, and after that he missed four games.

Its very possible, his headaches could have returned after overexerting himself last night. This is common in post-concussion syndrome.

Yeah, we can't have people making claims without any evidence to back it up.

"I heard it from [xx]" isn't an acceptable source. Needs a link from a credible news source.

Nash is such a pleasure to watch, the way he protects the puck with his elite speed and size is incredible.

Ok...

A credible news source? Not sure if this is deemed credible, but this is actual photographic proof of someone who is there right now. Nash is noticeably absent.

@LauraBehnke: And there they are. Your @NYRangers all dressed up for Casino Night!

Nash isn't in that photo. My friend who is at the public event said he has not seen him once (he also works for the team.)

The official New York Rangers twitter/instagram have been posting photos ALL night and Nash is not in any photos.

All I was trying to say is that he's NOT at the event tonight. There is plenty of credible evidence to support what I am saying. The discussion that follows about why he isn't is out of my control.

This was the original point of my post before it was deleted.

In the NY Post, Nash said “I felt OK, but my timing was a bit off and my wind wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be.
