Wow, Henrik Samuelsson was tossed early for spearing.

We're hemming in the Winterhawks in there own end. Some great pressure. Sounds like Seth Jones is fighting the puck tonight. A couple turnovers. C'mon boys!

Lol, IDK. Maybe talking about Halifax bumping Portland out of the #1 Power Rankings Spot? Or whatever it's called. The top 10 ranked clubs or whatever.

Hurricanes are looking for huge favours from Red Deer and Calgary tonight. Kootenay and Swift Current losses are greatly needed.

Well Red Deer beats Kootenay BUT.... The Hurricanes are currently losing 3-1 to the worst team in the league

The Rebels get a nice 4-1 win over the Kootenay Ice tonight on the road. Cory Millette had a pair of goals and the Elson/Maxwell/Dieno line was on fire scoring are last 2 goals. That line's been awesome all year, and been our top line. Patty Bartosak was solid yet again and a big 2 points putting us 2 points behind Prince Albert. We play Swift Current tomorrow, at home.

Oil Kings up 1-0 after 1 in Everett. Curtis Lazar tally and it was his 35th.

Giants get a late penalty shot but the Canes survive. Currently in OT, a HUGE point left up for grabs.

Giants win in OT. Canes sit 4 points back of Kootenay, with 2 games remaining against the Ice.

A bad bounce, and generally sloppy play by both teams on the night, ends in a giants win.

Even though Pilon was -3 on the night he looked very good out there, still needs work on his mobility but even if his skating doesn't get any better at all I can see him having an NHL career.

Henry and Erkamps are a couple of solid 13 draft picks on the back end as well, Lenny Hackman to a lesser degree, might be a good WHL Dman but size will be an issue at the next level..

Some good young players on this Canes team and they look very well positioned for next year.

It wasn't the best game that the Giants have played but they picked their spots and got the win.

The giants are also another young team that could surprise next year with 30 wins but they need someone to be a leader on offense, something they are lacking right now.

Correction on the Rebels points. With that win last night over Kootenay we tie Prince Albert with 76 points! And also Prince Albert is down 2-0 to the Wheat Kings right now, half way through the 2nd. Hopefully the Wheat Kings go onto win. Also the Rebels play tonight at home VS. Swift Current. So if P.A. indeed looses and we win we'll jump over them. A point would be nice at the bare minimun but c'mon boys let's have a good effort. LET'S GO BOYS!

I know what the standings say but for my money Prince George is the worst team in the league.

Ya I am a huge fan of Pillon and Erkamps too. Hopefully they can make a career in the NHL.
The Canes are one of the youngest teams in the league, so they are in good shape, but it still would be nice to get in this year.

Well, Canes lost to them too a few weeks ago, so my point still stands.

In all honesty I would ditch Preston.

Team is way too undisciplined.

Prince Albert falls to Brandon 4-2. And the Rebels are up by 2, 2-0 thanks to to the Captain Turner Elson with a pair of goals!

Rebels WIN!!! A 3-0 decision. The Captain Turner Elson had a pair of goals and Matty Bellerive scored our other goal. Patty Bartosak had a 52 save shutout and was superb! With that win and Prince Albert loosing earlier tonight we move into 4th in the Eastern Conference again. Wheeeuuu!

Even though Jacobs and Bourke are better than any player on Vancouver, I agree. That defensive core and depth is just brutal when Vancouver is a very young team. That said I still blame Forsberg for majority in his situation.

My predictions, actually looking more like official standings.

West
Stays the same; Everett and Seattle clinch playoff spots.
- Seattle takes 7th seed.
- Spokane stays as the 4th seed.
- I think Kelowna holds onto the division lead by 1 or 2 points, very close.

East
Stays the same in terms of teams.
- I could see Kootenay over take 6th.
- Calgary stays in 3rd.
- Too close to call between 4th seed (whoever gets on fastest mini streak gets it).
- Swift Current will be 8th seed, but will been one of the biggest dark horse in the playoffs.

I was at the 3-0 Kamloops win over Kelowna last night. A dominant, all-around game played by the Blazers in a must-win situation to keep the race for the division pennant alive. It was a record crowd for the Blazers at 5756...never had that many fans in the ISC before.

Two games left against Kelowna but only a combination of 7 points gained by Kelowna or lost by Kamloops will have the Rockets clinch the pennant. Kelowna has 6 games left, Blazers with just 5.

Provided both the Blazers and Rockets (and Portland) make it out of the first round, that home ice advantage between the two teams will be so important. KAM & KEL meet again Fri and Sat for home-and-home series

Victoria has lost their last 10 games, a bit depressing.

We we're doing so well and then we just plummeted.
