Is someone injured? or is their a trade coming up?
I thought we had enough guys to ice a full roster.
Back to back games maybe giving someone a rest, or possibly just insurance so we dont have to play weber as a forward? all we have is Weber as a healthy scratch right now with Diaz and Bourque both out. Noki practiced with the team but wore a no contact sweater.
Habs are heading out on a five game road trip right after the Pittsburgh game tomorrow. They have an extra roster spot and no extra forwards with Bourque on IR. It makes sense to bring an extra forward on the trip in case of injuries or just for the flexibility.
Value is in the eyes of the beholder much like beauty, MB knows what Chicago management really thinks of Kane and hispublic drunkenness and off ice BS. There gonna be making a serious run this year by the looks of it so then maybe there looking for some veteran assistance like a Gio+Moen+pick or prospect combo and I think MT is the guy to straighten Kane out
Hawks management would be crazy to complete any trade while they keep their incredible streak. Even if they lose a couple games in a row, they have no reason to move (unless they lose 5 games in a row while scoring 1 goal per game).

I don't see it as anything more than that.
Nokelainen is back. He's training with the team. If a injury happens on the road trip, he will be good to go...
Nokes participated in his first on ice practice today. It won't be until at least another week or two before he is ready to come back.
Now here comes Dumont unexplained call up
Prust is hurt, that is a fact.(upperbody injury) per Tsn website http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=416674 , and it was broadcast the night of the game ,i watched it .He was supposed to sit out ....
And we all know he bangs...so if he goes out it needs to be replaced.
Dumont ,he bangs big too...this could be the reason we see Dumont...
Now habs are missing a protector if Prust does go out...so could it be out of the realm of possibility that, Habs are looking for another tough guy? nope.
Prust goes, were right back to last year first 60 games...Moen.... then we got Boullion now .There both tough dudes, but not always goona jump in like Prust or the guy who was here last 20 games last season.
IMO he's got the potential to eventually make the 3rd line in an NHL team, I kinda see him as a Maxim Lapierre with a little more offensive talent (passing, position). He's going to have to work a lot for it though and make up for his lack of size.
We were one of the teams that put in a claim for Tom Sesito, so it's not surprising we're calling up a 4th liner.
How is this known? I've read it a few times now. If true I don't understand why you put in a claim for him but not McGrattan who has the same role but will at least win his fights. As far as replacing Moen or White with Dumont I don't see the point. I think those two have played pretty well as of late.
I mainly agree that it is probably just to have a guy in case of injury to a forward. I also remember watching a game where Prust looked to have hurt his hand a little. He was kind of looking at it on the bench in some pain. Can't remember how it happened.
no. still wearing non-contact jersey. is something else up?

Or just maybe they're hedging their bet in case someone gets hurt in Saturday night's game. They won't have enough time to recall someone and have him ready for Sunday's important match against the Bruins. And besides if they do make a trade, they'll be getting someone in return. No?

Because Sestito is a player that can take on most heavyweights and not only an enforcer like McGratton. Our success relies on having 12 effective hardworking forwards and 6 defensmens that can play good hockey on both sides of the ice. Dumont is one of those players that grows 6 inches everytime he has somebody protecting him.
For this weekend I would sit out Prust and let him heal. Put Moen on the 2nd line and Dumont in the line-up.
