*preface: i am 14*
So one of my "friends"(person i know) is having a birthday party tonight. They're planning on getting reaaaaaaalllllllyyyyy drunk, smoking weed, breaking into a cottage to get more liquor, and then doing it all again the next night for his twin sisters party. Oh yea, I also saw them pre drinking and smoking earlier when i got off the bus. Pretty much everyone I know is going and whoever isnt is doing this sleepover thing at my school. #nosociallife #xboxftw #hastagsoutsideoftwitter
I started drinking when I was 14/15. A good friend of mine's dad brewed his own beer, and had a standing rule that we were allowed to drink anytime we were over there, provided we promised not to leave the house at any point after we started drinking. That friend's dad probably kept me out of a CRAPTON of trouble by doing that, too. My group of friends were never tempted to do stupid things for alcohol, or do stupid things while drunk, because we didn't want to bite the hand that fed us free alcohol.
Nothing is wrong with drinking if it's done responsibly. The question you need to ask is as a 14 year old, can you promise yourself that you're going to be responsible in those situations? Clearly, the answer for those other kids is "no".
The problem is when people do stupid things. Don't avoid parties because of alcohol or anything like that, avoid them because they are planning on breaking into a cottage. Stupid kids are stupid.
IMO.
^^MORAL OF THE STORY^^
1) find friend whose dad will give you free booze
2) ???
3) Profit.

I'm just going to take a look at your dressing to make sure everything is OK and then you can go.*Looks at dressing*Perfect!
Me:

Good luck tomorrow. Tell me what it's like, so I know what to expect.
This has been one of the hardest days ever for me. I have to put my dog down tonight...
Sorry bout your loss man.
Will send a PM about the other stuff so as not to put the rest of the lounge off their breakfast/lunch/dinner any further.

I'm avoiding them because they are the stupid pot head stereotype teenagers. They get drunk just for the sake of getting drunk, getting high becasue they can, smoking cigarettes etc etc etc all this just because they think they are so cool and all that. **** those kind of people annoy the **** out of me. /rant
I would rather be at home playing xbo/talking to you guys tbh.
Oh yea forgot to mention, the kids who were throwing the party, their mom was on intervention canada

And the nature/nurture debate rages on.

Yep, those types annoyed me too back when I was your age. Which was 18 years ago.

I have never seen the appeal of getting drunk/high just becasue you can and be stupid. When you are 14 you don't need alcohol to have a good time. If you need it to have a good time well then you are ****ed up and is what's wrong with our generation.
omg wtf a hastag and a .jpg, did the internet explode?

Sorry to hear, the day we put my dog down was the worst day of my life, by far. Two years later we got a new dog and I think that was the right amount of time to wait.

Mind you, they'll be doing some renovations to SSR next year so I believe West residence will also be available to 1st years next year. Going into 2nd year, I want to get into West but it's not super likely now because of all the damn 1st years that will get it next year. West is similar to SSR but you get single rooms.
Update, my offer is conditional on maintaing a 75 average, that shouldn't be a problem...

I don't think there's anything wrong with them drinking or smoking, the problem is the stealing and the fact that it seems to control their life. 14 is pretty young too, grade 9?

This was always my parents philosophy, I don't drink much but my brother did a lot when he was a teenager, they would rather know we are safe then have us walking around drinking on the streets like the kids who have nowhere to go. Most teens will drink whether parents want them to or not.

Getting drunk with friends can be fun once in a while. Though it definitely isn't something to do often, and it is better to do at home, instead of going out where you can get into trouble or have someone drunk drive.
Like Bonk said, nothing wrong with drinking. As long as it is responsible drinking
Man, I've had my fair share of irresponsible drinking nights with friends. Most of my memories from those nights are blank but, apparently, good times were had.
Went to a buddy's place tonight for a few beers. Turnout was smaller than I expected, and I left right when it turned into an episode of Gossip Girl (I assume Gossip Girl is a show about gossip).

Why is it so hard to find a Supertramp song on youtube that isn't a cover, or doesn't have 5000 annoying people screaming so loud that you can barely hear the song?
It must be a conspiracy
edit: I caved and bought on youtube
Still think Supertramp is one of the most underrated bands of all-time. Love "Bloody Well Right, and "The Logical Song"

Great songs. I prefer Dreamer and Take The Long Way Home.

Same for Bob Dylan songs. Labels are on that copyright infringement right quick. Some more than others.
Got ejected from my hockey game today (2 minor penalties = auto eject). Definitely wasn't the most physical/violent player on the ice though, and I ended up with the game winner.

And then the goalie went back to his full-time job as a fine-mesh sieve at Canadian Tire?

Funny story, I went to sit with a friend who was watching our game after my ejection. She says 'Nice goal.' I say, 'Thanks, their goalie's pretty small, just need to shoot on him.'
There are three girls sitting beside my friend who turn and kinda look at me, then go back to watching the game. Turns out they were there to watch the other team's goalie.

2 minor penalties = ejection? Wow that seems overly harsh. You can so innocently get 2 minor penalties.
