I don't agree with his analysis including the lengthy suspension. If the major/game against Washington remained, then I would have seen his point.

Add to that, the term "lengthy" is debatable and open for interpretation.

We should be up like 5-0 at this point, so many chances.

Hopefully we can bang a few home in the second, i think guys are trying to be too cute, Grioux trying to make that extra pass when wide open in the slot

Looks like Bryz wants to defend his March crown

I like how Bryz seems to play better when he uses new equipment, and i LOVE the Star Wars mask. Didn't have any complaint about the orange looking lightSabre and Yoda skin either, but the green looks good too

On Harry Z:

Rule 42.1 does not say they can't leave their feet states they cannot JUMP into a person to cause injury - is this true, just pulled this from another discussion that is ongoing... I cant find the rule book online

^ It states "skates or jumps into..."

Quote:
Rule 42 - Charging

42.1 Charging - A minor or major penalty shall be imposed on a player who skates or jumps into, or charges an opponent in any manner.

Charging shall mean the actions of a player who, as a result of distance traveled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. A “charge” may be the result of a check into the boards, into the goal frame or in open ice.

A minor, major or a major and a game misconduct shall be imposed on a player who charges a goalkeeper while the goalkeeper is within his goal crease.

A goalkeeper is not “fair game” just because he is outside the goal crease area. The appropriate penalty should be assessed in every case where an opposing player makes unnecessary contact with a goalkeeper. However, incidental contact, at the discretion of the Referee, will be permitted when the goalkeeper is in the act of playing the puck outside his goal crease provided the attacking player has made a reasonable effort to avoid such contact.
The game misconduct is mandatory when a 5-minute major for certain penalties is issued.

Quote:
20.4 Automatic Game Misconduct – An automatic game misconduct shall be applied to any player who has been assessed a third major penalty in the same game.

An automatic game misconduct shall also be applicable whenever a player is assessed a major penalty for any of the infractions listed in the Reference Tables – Table 6 – Summary of Major Penalties that Result in an Automatic Game Misconduct. See specific rule numbers for complete descriptions.

When a player has been assessed a major penalty for any of the infractions listed in the Reference Tables – Table 7 – Summary of Major Penalties that Result in an Automatic Game Misconduct When There is an Injury to the Face or Head and his opponent has suffered an injury to the face or head, a game misconduct must also be assessed. See specific rule numbers for complete descriptions.

When a major and automatic game misconduct are assessed, the player shall be ruled off the ice for the balance of the game, but a substitute shall be permitted to replace the player so suspended after five (5) minutes have elapsed.

Thanks MSE - I am trying to find it myself, I don't see it. I still think the hit comes down to physics... he targeted the chest the whole way, any follow thru will bring the body up. Harry Z may have been getting down down for the hit and then exploding up b/c he saw Lundin hunched over?

I like the hit, much like the one on Perrault the other night. CLEAN and to the center of the body, he got knee on the follow thru, he didn't target it. Not intentional.
