At least MAK was right about Kuba, no wait. Nevermind.

Spezza will want to sign here since we'll have Karlsson and a good team.

He is also one of the best face-off men in the league(Something that is SO underrated in hockey) and plays a stronger 2 way game and was huge part of great PK success early on this year breaking up offensive zone plays.
Malkin
Crosby
Backstrom
Sequin
Toews
Bergeron
Couture
Stamkos
E.Staal
Kopitar
Richards

I would take these guys in a trade for spezza anyday of the week..And im Sure many would..Its not all about scoring if thats the case Kessel is a top 5 winger..

I too would take Richards, Staal, Couture, Bergeron, Sequin, or Backstrom over Spezza.

With Greening and oft-injured Michalek as his wingers? What a surprise.

Are you talking for value or player because I see a big difference between the two.

You can argue he is a top 5 player(personally I think top 10)

However, he is not top 5 in trade value(younger players, less injuries, better contract ect..........)

Would you trade Spezza right now for Couture? I would in a heart beat.

You'd be alone.

I'm curious as to what you think Couture brings that offsets the fact that he puts up almost 20 less points while playing with a significantly better group of forwards.

We're rebuilding and riddled with injuries. We don't need to do anything right now.

Do you know who Couture is?? Why so funny? 30+ scorer 65point player..Strong defensivley and gritty..Guy drives the net like crazy.

Spezza is a point a game player but if hes not scoring he really doesnt help the team win..

Put it on the main board...Its closer then you think..

Do you know who Spezza is? He's a 100+ point player with legitimate wingers.

Condra is a right winger as is Stone & Noesen. I would rather have Stone playing on our 3rd line right wing next season instead of Condra. The following yr if Noesen is ready to play in the NHL then he would replace Alfredsson, that is if Alfredsson returns for next season then retires. For that reason, I think Condra is expendable at the trade deadline to make room for Stone.

Again dont mean something huge..I know we are injured is it fair to the players now if he sits back and does nothing?...This team is trying without the goaltending we would be out of the playoffs..

Im saying something little to help out some..Not blow it up..

Look at the game day thread Turris needs to sit Smith needs to siti dont agree but some help would go along way..

You don't think an 18 game scoreless streak is not playing with Turris's mind? You think it helps his developement? or Silfs?

People will comeback and say we won 5 in a row thats great i hope they win always..But if god forbid our goaltending doesnt continue its play and we finish 9 in the east i will be really pissed.

Sigh. Why is our fan base often so stupid about Spezza. It's mind boggling.

That is my point, the value is closer then most of us would like to admit. I would certainly rather have a first line center who is 23 (might not be as good as Spezza now but is close) who can grow with our young team. Or even better draft one this year and have the best of both worlds.
