This board is always quick to embrace anything negative. Me included. Being jaded does that sometimes.

dont worry, im a canucks fan, im used to it...

Anyways, this is what you can expect from Volpatti. He's not afraid to drop the mitts against anyone, but usually loses against heavies. Does really well against those in his weight class and is a much better fighter than Hendricks. He also has a great right capable of stunning opponents

Not a big fan of fighting in hockey, so as long as he brings the hitting and physical play Van fans have said he would I will be happy.

I love Healy losing his mind over Ovechkin not touching the puck when he's positioned on the left circle, and the highlights show the passing play on the other side of the ice.

Entire CBC panel ripping on Ovechkin and Milbury is nowhere in sight - wonder how all the Ovi supporters are going to debunk their comments now.

The jabs he threw were a nice change of pace from the usual BS seen in NHL fighting.

I have become negative because all our GM does is waste contracts on players who never make this team better. He turned a presidents trophy team with a young core, into the second worst team in the league.

Also, tired of people praising a player gettin paid $10M because he skated real hard, hit a post, or "could have" had a bunch of points.

I kinda felt like the Caps were turning a corner there...then that egg against Philly and this. Does anyone have any urgency?

I actually prefer the fact they are bashing him for not playing the reckless abandon, but whenever he does, they call him a dirty POS.

He is afflicted with the same thing The Hammer has. Upper body injury, chronic brain fartitis.

Agree. It's hate Ovie week. But, do have to agree that he'd be better served to put his stick on the ice more.

That said, it's a good thing the 4-pt game vs. NJ wasn't a national broadcast or the hockey media wouldn't have known what to do.

Why so they know where to pass the puck? They'll still ****ing pass right into his skates.

Its not like Hendricks is going to pass the puck, the ****er thinks he's something he's not.

We all have our reasons for being jaded, but ultimately it comes down to the fact we are fans of a team that has underachieved badly the last 2-3 years.

It all starts with the $10M "leader."

Not mutually exclusive. Progress isn't typically a straight line.
