I would go for Bouwmeester.

Though I would prefer a more physical d-man

How about something around Dan Boyle? He'll help you win another cup

I'd be down for that.

He's been pretty good this year overall, but he's 33 and we already have a bit of a logjam on defense, with a ton of defensemen coming down the pipe. Plus we need a skilled RH shot winger as much as Tampa needs a physical top 4 defenseman.

Both teams trading strengths to address weaknesses.

I don't know if either team is interested, but Rundblad would be a great addition to the Bolts PP and top 4 long term.

We don't need another D that doesn't hit a lot and we have no PP problems on paper, the guys are just unable to shot, everybody passes....

Otherwise if he would be offered I think I would take him

To Tampa Bay:
David Desharnais
Yannik Weber
3rd round pick in 2013

To Montreal:
Teddy Purcell
B.J. Crombeen
2nd round pick in 2013

Now way.
No need for Desharnais on this team, we have many guys that can play as good in the AHL, he has no physicality and is to small.
Weber is a bottom pairing D.

I wouldn't even trade Purcell for Weber and Desharnais, let alone the 2nd and Crombeen

Yeah, Desharnais is basically a career AHLer. Desharnais is a very talented 2nd line player who is still cost controlled. I'm pretty sure Guy Boucher would love to have him on his team.

I'm not saying he is bad or anything, but we have 4/5 guys waiting in the AHL who could play top6 roles on many NHL teams, so we only need top6 guys with a lot of physicality in them.
And Purcell is outplaying Desharnais by quit a margin (stats wise).

I don't get these proposals for Diaz, why would Bolts want more offence? There's a reason they keep ending up in bottom 3 for GAA year after year.
If they're not gonna make a move for Luongo or help Lindback out with a Bernier then they need some Defensive D.

Purcell for Z. Michalek? Safe to say Purcell's stats are in inflated playing with the talent on Lightning, and his 4.5 Mil will start looking worse as the cap shrinks.

He is part of this great offense, he is as good as anybody in our top6 and I don't think his numbers are inflated, he is a smart player on the ice but has no physicality and stops playing when he did some great moves.

If he is on his game he is absolutly worth 4,5m

No need for Green with Carle on the team. Carlson interests me though, as does Alzner.

Alzner is not for sale and Carlson will require a hefty+, especially taking his contract into consideration.

I'd love to get Purcell, but the only expendable d-man the Oilers have is Ryan Whitney, and unless his play last night is the mark of him turning his game around, he's not the answer you want, ha ha. If he plays like he did yesterday for a few weeks, then it might be worth the Lightning looking at him.

I don't know. No idea. Well, our needs are at LD and LW, but how big is the difference in value between Carlson and Purcell? I do not know

Would love him in Vancouver. You sure you don't want Luongo? Haha.
