None of these teams deserve to be part of the playoffs. But at least one will make it and finish 3rd overall , by default.

Carolina is solid. Especially when Ward is on his game, which I'd expect to happen more often as the season progresses.

How much was it that the Habs offered to Komi before went to the Leafs? Having the Gomez, Komi and Kaberle contracts on the roster would have been beyond brutal.

Maybe we should trade Kaberle for Komi ?

Would you guys do

Kaberle for Komisarek?

Identical cap hit and identical years left on the contract.

Kaberle was good at Toronto. Komisarek was good in Montreal. We get more physical and bigger at the back end (giving us a different option than Weber/Kaberle). Worst come to worst, they bought get bought out (compliance wise).

You guys can't be serious? I'd play Weber over Komisarek.

Me too! All I'm saying is we give ourselves an option of having a physical defenseman if we want to and there is a chancr ...and yes a very very small one that he turns his game around here

Exactly 20 years ago Teemu Selanne broke the rookie goalscoring record. It's a shame he never played for the Habs.

No.

I think if a team gets desperate enough for a PP guy we might be able to get rid of Kaberle. That won't happen with Komi...

It's a shame we haven't had a top ten scorer in almost 30 years...

4,5 million for a #7 d-man is darn espensive.... And we still have Kaberle at the same price for the same contract length.

Both Kaberle and Komisarek are useless, but there's a slight chance we can get a 6th for Kaberle at the deadline by a team that needs PP help. Komisarek would fit needs better...but you don't want him out there anyway.

Ribeiro's killing it right now. He's gonna be so overpaid this summer.

If there's any player Kadri reminds me of, it's Ribs...it's a shame Gainey isn't running the Leafs.

Yeah that was such bs. That's why we absolutely must win the next Cup (which perhaps means finding ways for the Bruins not too for awhile), lest they win a legitimate Cup.

As for seeing him hold the Cup, it gives me a gag reflex whenever CBC shows it as part of the starting theme sequence or generally in any background shot (it was almost as good as a leafs cup for them).

Ribeiro is a fantastic hockey player and every team that's lost out on him has regretted it. Washington got him for cheap and whoever signs him will be lucky to have him. A consistent 60pt+ centre in the NHL, offensive vision second-to-none, Montrealer... and most of our idiot fanbase still say that he's a chump or he's classless or that he's a cancer.

Lol, the season is ripe for nostalgia for former Habs this season.

Something tells Komi benefited a lot from Markov and he wouldn't be playing with him...
For all we know, the pairing could be Cube-Komi, and that could be disastrous as any Kaberle pairing.
