^^^ Yeah I was very surprised when I saw that. I almost wonder if those numbers can be doctored in some way. I just can't believe THAT many people would pay to see Ronda fight. Hendo and Machida aren't big draws, so the fact that this event did essentially 100-150K buys more than expected has to be because of Ronda. I don't know anyone who sometimes buys PPVs and sometimes doesn't who purchased this one. I don't like Ronda at all so needless to say I wasn't pleased about this.

It came from Meltzer, which is more credible then message board opinions, just sayin.

I could see Rousey being a Lesnar type draw for UFC. She just has "it".

The numbers don't surprise me, there was a ton of buzz for this event. Meltzer is credible.

If those numbers are accurate (I have no reason to doubt it), that's a huge win for Ronda and the UFC. It'll be interesting to see if this is a one time thing because it was Ronda's first UFC fight or if this will continue. She might end up being a bigger PPV draw than everyone under 170.

I'm not a big fan of women's MMA and I had no interest in this fight but I thought it was a good fight.

Well, I'm surprised. I don't know if the novelty of it will continue though. Still have zero interest in watching women fight each other.

Strikeforce contract. His new one with the UFC I'm sure is the standard X amount to show, same X amount to win deal.
