I think he's going to be. Sucks because now the goalie market is saturated with possibly Hiller, Schneider/Luongo, or Bernier all being out there with a lot of guys hitting UFA this summer. Not easy to get a great deal with that being the case as there are only a few goalie buyers.

It is somewhat saturated, but IMO Bernier provides the best bang for the buck for a young team.

Penguins are starting to out-Fenwick the Canadiens in Montreal tonight. Tons of possession time in the Montreal zone and lots of chances. Pens 3-2 and going on the PP.

The Pens' goaltending is their weakness.

The east is much more entertaining. Less defense.

It's now 4-4 in Montreal.

Yup, I'm jealous. How often do you even see a 4-4 game in the West?

How many times do you see good defense in the East?

I like watching good, hard (clean too) hitting hockey and two way play. Obviously I'm in the minority of fans but I prefer hockey played our way. Winnipeg, Ottawa, and Boston are the only teams in the East who play like Western Conference teams and I prefer watching their games.

2-1 PHX. I'm torn.

EDIT: That didn't last long, 2-2.

EDIT(Again): 3-2 ANA.

Fasth with two awful, soft goals given up so far.

6-6 in Montreal. It's like a train wreck you can't look away.

Vokoun is awful.

Pittsburgh sorely misses their best d-man in Martin in a game like this.

Just root for a regulation game. That's the only way Kings win in this regard.

I'm with you in the minority. The only reason a high scoring game like the Habs/Pens game is exciting is because you don't know how it's going to turn out. It's generally awful defence and/or goaltending that causes these games. There is so much skill in shutting down the other team but because points aren't involved it goes unnoticed.

My other reason for excitement regarding these games is that a lot of these teams are filled with guys who go crazy and do stupid things. I get minimal enjoyment out of watching teams wire in slap shots on the rush from the blue line. Those should be stopped by any goaltender worth anything.

If I want to enjoy video game hockey, I'll go play a video game I guess.

Not so Fasth. 3-3

Cogliano with an insane shooting percentage. Fasth is coming back to earth. Once the Ducks shooting percentage regresses to the mean they will lose a good chunk of games.

No surprise. Phoenix and Anaheim are probably headed to OT. 4-4 with 5 to go.
