i dont feel like he is 5'11 he looks like 5'10 max but maybe its the way he handles himself that makes him look smaller

he's pretty good at stripping the puck from d-man in a manner somehow similar to datsyuk where he just comes from behind and surprise him with a quick lift stick close to his hands

very nice release the puck just leave his stick so quickly and so accurately..

you got a prospect here with a mix of datsyuk and kovalev hands...

only question mark is his size and how his defensive game will translate to the pros but he is for sure a spectacular talent with a lot of upside

Agreed.

I seriously think Drouin has the potential to have some of if not the best hands in the NHL someday, and be a player like Kovalev and Datsyuk in his ability to make the D look silly almost at will some nights..

No. Probably would be Gally + and I doubt you would want to do that.

perhaps we`d have to drop some assets for more picks and offer more picks....if we could get another first for something...

I don't think you'd need to put a + if you're throwing Gally in the deal... Gally might not be the best player down the road, but as of right now, he is.

You're right about the picks though... A mid 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Collberg wouldn't land you Drouin. So much potential to be a star.

Drouin suffered a knee injury tonight, apparently. No other details other than Gelinas hit him knee on knee.

Plenty of small guys exceed in the NHL. He's a lot quicker than you are giving him credit for and it's not like he skates with his head down like Mr. Hall.

He's a 5'11'' 180 pounds 17 years old player. Hardly a pushover. He's actually only slightly lighter than Crosby at the same age.

Take that with a big grain of salt. He most definitely is not that tall nor that heavy. Those Q listings are notorious for exaggeration. We'll get much more reliable listings from the prospects combine. That said with his level of talent he won't have any more issues than Kane or Giroux did. Very rarely does the opposition ever get a chance to line him up.

Drouin seem to have pretty strong lower body strength and balance. I think that he will be fine. He is 17 and still growing and maturing up physically.

5'10 3/4" was his official Team Canada height at Hlinka...

Hall has really been playing a much smarter game this season and hasn't really taken one big hit.

I think Drouin will succeed much like Patrick Kane and Tyler Ennis. He is quick enough and has the smarts to go with his skill.

I'll give you that he's not 5'11", a bit under it. But he's easily 180. The lower body on the kid is very developed. As a guy I know who works with the team said: "he has the lower body of a pro, and the upper body of a teenager". He'll probably hit ~195 one day as a pro.

Drouin is currently leading the league in scoring despite missing a bunch of games for the WJHC. Unfortunately for him he's currently day to day and will miss the next Mooseheads game.

Can't imagine any team in the top 3 trading down any lower than 5, if at all. So no, it doesn't.
