So the coach is kind of protecting him a bit, because the kid's confidence seems shot a bit. You don't play him more in these conditions because it could get worse very fast. You protect him. Give him time.
And alex is the only guy on this team who is consistent in his abilities night in and night out.

Every game is the same with him... and he will only mature in his body.

I'd love to coach that kid.

Therrien did pretty good with Crosby, Letang and Staal. I give him the benefit of the doubt.

alex isn't crosby ( a freak of nature in the athletics department ) But they have similar team first attitudes that make them so inspiring to watch.

And THAT WAS IN PITTSBURGH... montreal is completely different.

Isn't Phaneuf pretty much hated around the league?

All im saying is I don't think therrien sees into galchenyuk yet..

I agree with sheltering him because he is still very boyish. 19..

But he has got to play in more responsible situations.

We could have seen it but Phaneuf decided against dropping the gloves

Phanuef didn't need to drop the gloves, But prust had enough honesty and integrity and character to not jump him.. Prust was the man and it showed how big of a sissy phaneuf is.

Prust one punched him on the emotional side of things

The team bailed Price out and got a point.

Time for him to bail them out.

Montreal's defensive zone coverage was horrendous and undisciplined.

price gobbled up ALOT of shots and left NO rebound.. the shots he did let in where either screens, flukes or bounces..

I wonder if MB thinks like I do and sees the need for a big tough defenseman? A guy that makes forwards pay for standing in front of our net. We need it badly, please get us that guy.

Oh god..not this again.

He plays poorly its he is too calm or looks like he doesnt care.

When he plays well, he is calm, poised, never panics and is in control.

It's his style. He had a rough game. He doesn't need to change anything.

The Pens just had their way offensively against the Habs D tonight. It looked like men against boys when the Habs D were trying to defend against the Pens offense in their own end tonight. Lucky to get a point out of this game so that's a plus I guess.

Call me crazy but Bouwmeester has been having a good season. He's not a tough guy but he's tough to knock off the puck and out of position. I wouldn't pay the compensation Calgary is looking for though.

lol, exactly.. he had an off night..

My gut knows when price is off, any time someone of the opposing team even touches the puck, my gut gets scared.. When price is on.. my gut knows even before puck drop.

Hahaha did you see the quality of scoring chances each team had.. Pitty's chances were clean and price bailed the guys out in front of him alot.. With those chest saves where he leaves no rebound.

Seriously? Gionta played a classic Gionta game tonight. Hard-nosed battling and two goals. Guy needs some props.

On a serious note, Kaberle has been really good since his return from exile. Well, as good as Kaberle can be, I guess.
