I heard this on the radio today and am wondering if it is true, and where we can look up the stats...

basically the radio host said that the Boston Bruins have spent the least time on the powerplay in the entire league so far

Seems like they're always on PK.

Here it is plus remember the Bruins have also played the fewest games.

I'd say a better metric is the PP for/against differential.

I remember this being mentioned as a Julien-related thing a few years ago. I dismissed it at the time, but if you look at his track record you start to wonder:

2011-12 24th in league in PP time (BOS)
2010-11 24th (BOS)
2009-10 29th (BOS)
2008-09 5th (BOS)
2007-08 28th (BOS)
2006-07 27th (NJD)
2005-06 20th (Habs)
2003-04 23rd (Habs)
2002-03 27th (Habs)

Aside from that one year, maybe there's something to it?

hmm, that has to be coincidental somehow, what could Julien be doing as a coach to cause the refs to put their opponents shorthanded much less often?

unless he is running undisciplined teams that always tend to negate their powerplays with retaliations?
