It could be worse. He could be struggling and diving. Kind of like this guy:
First line forwards and a top 4 defender.
It's amazing because there is a way to embellish a legitimate penalty without making it diving. That's not the way to do it. He was legitimately high sticked in the face, and it probably made him have quick reaction to fall. The fall was enough even though it probably didn't hurt him. The theatrics is ridiculous though, and should be penalized.
When I play the game I don't embellish things. Rather, I make it very easy to penalize me. Going into the wall for example, if I show you my back I'm not going to put any weight down on my legs. A small shove will send me to the floor. But I didn't force it, I just let physics do its job!
What would you say is the biggest reason for Weiss struggling this year?
Do you think if say he was in Chicago playing with Sharp/Kane as his linemates that would kick start him?
A lower body injury early in the season, and his grandma being ill/recently dying. I think he has also known for weeks that he is gone soon, and he didn't want that.

Not really. We tried to put him on our best line with Huby & Mueller and he was horrible. The whole line was on this day. If you watch him on the ice , just look for one player who is lazy..

Maybe he's just sick of our team and needs a fresh start. The skill is there we all know it. I just can't believe how a player can play like this in a contract year

He clearly wont get paid what he gets now..It is unaccaptable that he plays like that. He should be moved out of town quickly. The problem is he has a NMC. Maybe, as you said he had enough of our team will go to any team.
But if he gets paid 5+ million I will laugh at the team who did
I think he was ill prepared for the season and really just sucks this yr. grandma. Injuries, dog ate the homework blah blah blah.
Would a fresh start on a team like your jump start him? Who knows but as his late grandma might say" it couldn't hurt!".
Everyone was, to a point. What was it, a three day training camp? Not really a great excuse. Nothing is with the way he's been playing.

And leaves the ice while the other team is on the offensive.
Tallon needs to pull the trigger on the coach. Weiss aside, the team is playing horrible and the coach owns the accountability for it.
Dineen is going to get at least another year. I don't think we should fire him yet. No training camp/preseason and a ton of injuries are a valid excuse, imo.
Firing Dineen would be silly. Besides the short amount of time He has been here, who would cone here and coach? It would show you'll have a short time to implement your system, before getting the hook. Not to mention the the team isn't that good right now and we have an internal budget. Be patient
