Yup, that should have been a penalty, the Real was lucky there. Valdès was right to scream at the ref at the end. That being said, I'm still happy my team has won

Hopefully they can make it three big wins in 7 days Tuesday

Didn't bother waking up to watch this Classico. It's amusing how the pendulum swings momentum back and forth between Madrid and Barcelona. What's even more amusing is when people expect one to just completely dominate the other every time. Barcelona is still a great team going through a very rough patch. Hell, it's only been 2 weeks. Remember 2 weeks ago when people were ready to sack Mourinho???

Mourinho is so much nicer when he's winning. lol

Anyhow, Barcelona has a lot of adjusting to do and only holds a 13 point lead (over Real). It should be enough, but at this rate I'm a little concerned about their next trap game with Deportivo. They have no chance getting through AC Milan.

There was no contact

Ramos stuck his leg out but pulled it back

They showed an angle where you clearly see there is no contact

Wow. Pretty afwul week. I mean I can understand losing to Madrid, it happens. But the way they underwent both games is unacceptable.

To me it seems like they were getting so used to winning games without having to give it their all, that they can't seem to remember what it takes to take down a team like Madrid. There's no hunger, no passion.

You're a Madrid fan, lol. It was a clear cut penalty on every single replayed angle.

Watching the replay now. I'm actually not too upset, Madrid sit back with 2 lines of defense, 5 in the way back and 4 in the middle and 1 up top ready for the counter. Good on Mourinho for an effective tactical system, and good on the Madrid players in their execution. Nothing really new, yet nothing really new from Barcelona either. As a fan of football in general I'm at least proud of the fact that Barcelona TRY to play a free flowing game. That's all I'm really taking from this game. There's really nothing at all impressive about Madrid or Barcelona. I'm so glad these two teams don't have to play against each other until next fall.

Edit: it really wasn't a penalty. That said I've seen penalties given on those plays more often then not.

Barcelona have needed another CB or 2 in the last 2 years. Eventually it was going to cost them.

Surprised that some are taking this loss harder than the one on Tuesday. Copa del ****ING rey!

Little rotation within a squad will do this to a team. Take out Iniesta or Messi and there are dozens of teams in Europe that could beat Barca.

That's a sign of world class defensemen : they don't have bad games (contrary to a certain overrated german defenseman ).

Halftime stat :
possession : Barca 71%
Goal chances : Barca 1

They have to do better than that. At first I thought they looked more lively than last game. And then they felt asleep again. Worst I thought they played for the tie, and a team like Barca must play for the win.

Nah, the next Beckenbauer according to some people here, even though he crashes in some big games, Mr "I'd take him over Thiago Silva" Hummels.
