Went on a small spree on steam and purchased some old school games for my laptop.
Rail Road Tycoon 2
Sim City 3
Also finially broke my NHL 12 disc (cracked after much use and being in and out of the case) so I bought NHL 13. So far its not bad. The change in skating takes a bit to get the hang of. I mostly only play be a GM mode and I find that 13s model is much slower to Simulate, it is much tougher to make a trade and the players do not advance much or do so very very slowly regardless of how well they do. But I like the fact that it makes it much more challenging!
playing for the first time:
Mass Effect 1 (just bought the trilogy, no spoilerz plx)
Borderlands 2 (recently beat the game, doing some DLC and extras now)
LoZ OoT: Master Quest (I've tried it many times but never gotten further than Dodongo's Cavern because the reward didn't feel like it was outweighing the effort)
Just got Kid Icarus: Uprising yesterday. Really fun game, even if I have a couple complaints. I wish there was a larger focus on the flying sections in the game, rather than about half flying half ground (ground sections are still pretty fun though). Also, I keep accidentally rolling (sometimes off a ledge) when I'm just trying to strafe, but I'm starting to adjust.
One thing that surprised me is how enjoyable the constant banter during missions is. Really adds a lot to the game.
Far Cry 3 - not getting into it too heavy, playing an hour here and there, its a very good game but I seem to have a hard time keeping focused with it
NHL 13 - just started on this last week, was gonna skip this years after having a lot of freezing issues last year but spotted it for 38 bucks on the PS store for PS+ users and figured I'd give it a shot, so far so good, no freezing and it seems to be a quality game
I've been pretty much completely ignoring Kid Icarus (just finished ch. 13) and my hard mode playthrough of Fire Emblem Awakening to go back to my first playthrough and grind for supports, do paralogues, and fight bonus box teams.
