I'm not saying he should have said anything about Koivu. Propably he should only have said "it's just a number" or spoken highly of Kirk Muller or even Scott Gomez in his interview. But if he felt that he had followed Koivu's career growing up and looking up to him there is nothing wrong saying what he thought.

Detroit is still pretty damn good. Speed and skill. Howard is an under rated goalie too, so is Crawford.

Our division is going to be the toughest division again next year if the Wings are in it.

It was classy of him. My comment was just an aside that's all.

How can the NHL possibly want to move the Wings to the East and have less Hawks/Wings games per season in the future? This is such a fantastic display hockey today.

Puck over the glass, penalty, goal. Chicago's streak remains alive.

Detroit wants to move to the East. Less travel wear.

Apparently, Detroit has had a choker bug hit them with these late penalties.

Detroit wins in Ot but Hawks get the point. This was agreed before the game.

Wings choked in the end. Thought they had it. Then took 2 dumb delay of game penalties for putting it over the glass. We'll see what happens in OT.

Yeah, their loss to the Kings had a similar feel, although one could excuse Datsyuk for because old habits of covering the puck do die hard.

Well, Hawks win the S.O.

Why the heck were the NBC announcers saying Hawks had tied Montreal's 28 game pt streak from the 70s when the Hawks have only played 22 games? They must be including last year as well, but who cares? It's supposed to be over one season.

I used to like shootout but a game shouldn't end like that. 3 on 3 OT hockey would be more entertaining.

Shoot outs should be used only in All Star and pre season games.

Islanders up 1-0 already on the Sens, it would be great if they could win.
