if he can keep up this level of play for a couple of more games we can get a nice little streak going.

One question asked was how he felt about the game and he was just like: "Fine." and another person asked a question he didn't want to answer and he just turned to another reporter and 100% ignored it. He's got a little swag about what he is willing to put up with.

Edit: And apparently he was right about him going to comment on it:

"Though the Flyers started poorly, they recovered. The opening saw outstanding goaltending between Bishop and especially, Bryzgalov, who had to make a couple of saves on wide-open shots, including trapping a puck off Erik Condra’s stick that Bryz was looking over his shoulder.

“It was trapped between my body and arm,” Bryzgalov said. “I felt the puck, I was just making sure the puck did not pass through me and in the net.”

That was one of several terrific saves (14 shots overall) that period."

Does Jeff Reese even work on Bryz's rebound control? Bryz can't handle a rebound to save his life.

Yesterday he couldn't handle a shot which led to schenn having to take a holding penalty to prevent a goal. The Ward goal the other night. I'm sure there's other examples. You don't think it's a problem?

It's a problem. When Bryz loses focus or is not on his game, it's immediately noticeable: his rebound control is suspect and he has difficulty tracking the puck.

i just want to go back and look at the play. which period ? i assume 02:26 PHI Luke Schenn : Holding - 2 min
i'll check it.

the Ward goal, where it hit him in the body, dropped straight down & he went to cover it & Ward just barely got to it & poked it out from under his glove ?? What did you want him to do there ? just curious. 99.9% of the time he covers that with his glove & we all say "no rebound", right ?
i dont think theres been an epidemic of those, has there ??

Yes that's the play.

The puck hit him square in his chest most goalies in the league hold onto that one. That goal was 100% on him. His rebound control definitely needs to be worked on.

curious what you think he should he do to "control" that rebound ? you see that all the time: shot into the body, drops to the ice, goalie covers it. he just wasn't fast enough this time, but i'm not concerned with where the rebound went, it was right where he wanted it [to cover it].

His rebound control is his biggest weakness. If you don't see that I don't know what to tell you.

i'm just asking what you think he should have done differently besides "be better".

if you have no technical answers, that's fine. but, as a goalie, i'm just curious what you think should be done differently on the play you brought up.

i'm not fighting with you, just trying to have a discussion about that play, that's all

He seems pretty down to earth and he's gotta be pretty cool if he's willing to sign as "Mr. Universe", especially considering that the "Universe" nickname was spawned during one of the worst periods of his career when he was taking flack for all the stuff he was doing/saying on 24/7.

A lot of athletes would've been bitter about it, it's neat to see Bryz embracing it. Kinda like Scotty did w/ #HartnellDown.

Alright. We don't need to question anybody's motivation for posting anymore. Keep it on the topic of Bryzgalov, Boosh, Leighton, whatever meatsack we have in net...not other posters or why they're posting.
