Question about Kennedy

Was looking at the Pens stats, and was shocked to see him sitting at just 4 points in 22 games. Is this just bad luck on his part? Reduced ice-time? Injury? Or has he just taken a step back this year?

If you believe in Feaster, you'd also believe in Kennedy.

That's all you need to know. J/p

He's in every trade proposal, because he's taken a step back. If that's what you were wondering. Wasn't that good last year, and useless out there this year. Whether he turns that around remains to be seen. Certainly not due to age

Not so much "taken a step back" as "not a very good hockey player and never was except that one season where he scored more than anyone expected, and his awesome tic-tac-toe goal in the Finals."

He is a mediocre hockey player and has been exposed as same this year. His main attribute is skating fast.

Did he get the rep in the rest of the league as being better than he is or something because of the 2010-11 season? Hopefully some other GMs feel the same way.

valuable third-line winger. brings speed, forechecking and chest-snipes. beloved in the community. James Brown once wrote a song about him. you definitely want him in a trade.

Not bad luck just one year of good luck where he managed to get the puck on net against goaltenders who were probably expecting him to hit them in the chest and he missed.

With how he's played for most of this season I'm almost surprised he even has 4 points

He needs to be attached to Jordan Staal's hip in order to produce anything.

Yah but were you an Original Hater™ ?

Actually I was never a hater; I just acknowledge how much better a player Dupuis is (which back then was a hard thing for the TK bandwagon to acknowledge but I doubt anyone would argue it now). The real problem for me came when Kennedy got that contract. Not cool.

I wouldn't be as hard on him if he made 30% less than he does. Still wouldn't have a problem with him being moved because he's the definition of expendable (like a lot of other players) but that's my take.

He seems more arrogant than Crosby, yet strangely sucks at hockey.

Kennedy use to provide energy, tenacity and an ability to cycle the puck down low. He has done none of those things this year. I put him in the category of needing a change of scenery. He should be a 15 goal guy. I still think with his age, salary and contact status there will be teams that would want him if the price is right

The reason I don't like him he does the same thing, gain zone and shoot the puck at a bad angle

Worst shot selection in 21st Century Penguins Hockey. He never learns either, that's the most amazing thing. He never changes his approach.

Ha ha! These guys. Such kidders!

Kennedy's great! One of the most underrated snipers in the league. He'd make a great addition to <insert your favorite team here>.

He's definitely playing terribly right now but I don't think he just had one lucky season; he can be a good 3rd liner who hustles, hits, back checks, cycles, provides 15 goals 35 points but frustrates offensively due to poor decision making and chest sniping. If he gets an offer from Carolina this summer he should jump at the chance to go and play with Jordan and Skinner.

So what you're saying is Carolina should trade Jeff Skinner to us for Kennedy?

I hear Sutter is like a brother to E.Staal. Sutter, Dumoulin, Pouliot and TK for Skinner.

Look at Carolina's record with reclamation projects too. Tlusty, Jokinen, Samsonov. Seems a no-brainer for TK to go there if he gets an offer.

Could you imagine Staal's reaction if he heard that TK was traded to Carolina and signed a 10 year extension?

TK must have compromising photos of Bylsma or something. I can't believe someone can suck as bad as he has and continue to get ice time.

Shero really ****ed up when he signed Kennedy over Talbot. That fluke 20+ goal season was only because the entire top 6 was injured and he was on the 1st PP unit. Losing Talbot has definitely shown how important he was to the locker room/leadership of the team.
