Not sure, probably something that a lot of people don't wear like 86 or something

Starting wearing it for Jackie Robinson, no hockey connection, he has just always been a hero of mine. It would def be my NHL number.

#34 After this guy...

My favorite Chicago Athlete and, IMHO, the best Chicago Athlete and greatest football player to ever live. Walter Payton showed amazing class on the field and his work ethic and attitude made him a sports Legend. It would be an honor to put his number on the back of my jersey

I've worn #13 since youth hockey.

The fact that Datsyuk wears it just makes me a giddy gopher.

I wore #9 during my junior soccer days because of Ronaldo (the real R9, not the pretty boy), so probably #9.

98, because I would just be a step below Gretzky.

That's terrible.

I'd wear traditional goalie numbers as a forward just to be obnoxious.

I wear 67 (Canada, baby!), but I'm pretty ambivalent when it comes to numbers. I'll wear almost anything in the 2-30 range except 13. Hate it, and not for superstitious reasons. It just seems like a pretty-boy number.

Either 9 or 19. Just solid hockey numbers IMO.

18 if it's available, otherwise 72. Mostly for standard numerological superstition reasons.
36 wouldn't do 'cause it's a goalie number, and 54... meh.

Baseball is my first love, so I'd say 27. Classic ball number. It's also been my number in college.

I'd wear 81. I think I started liking that number when 2 of my favourite players were Ales Hemsky(83) and Andrew Cogliano(13 at the time), so I combined the first digit of those numbers for 81. And I've used 81 as the number in my username for nearly everything since, as my display name here can back up.

Although when I was a kid, I'd always pick 1 because I liked the sound of being #1. Dunno why, I sucked.

12. I think it was randomly assigned to me at some point in my soccer days and I've worn it ever since

11. PJ Axelsson was my favorite player a while back. If not 11 than 22 because that was my lacrosse number.
