I have a small portable stool with me this time... So I don't have to sit on the cold concrete for like 1.5 hours again. Until I get knee replacement, I still have to use my crutches to get around if it involves a lot of standing and walking.
Yeah, last year was great, we went from being pretty far back in the line to right up against the doors. I managed to be the first person in Jagr's line and my friend was the first in Schenn's.

That's rough but at least you know what it's all about this year and adapted to it.

I had missed out on the Jagr autograph tickets last year, but got the photo ticket. Well, Jagr has some overflow of autograph people getting things signed right at the beginning of the photo session.. I asked the attendant if I could give her my ticket and just get the autograph. She let me, since he was literally standing next to me, signing stuff.

That worked out well...

I plan to dress super warm tomorrow, since I'll probably be outside for two hours...

That's not too bad. If I lived locally, I guess I'd work out something like that with someone.

Gonna call the taxi soon to get out there, I guess...

Line is miniscule compared to same time last year. Strange. I am counting on them splitting the line again, so i am out of the wind, where they moved us last year.

I couldnt tell ya. I am still sitting by myself, at one side of the same entrance everyone else is at. I can see them through the windows on the otherside. I cannot tell how long the line is, however.

I chose here because it is out of the wind. I am banking that they open both doors at the same time like they did last year.

Was going to have Gagne sign the fight strap but just decided for him to sign the number. Apparently Al Morganti commented on it during the telecast.

Very cool.

I got to see Simmonds, Couts, Hartnell, Grossman and Matt Read. I asked the assistant coach finally... Lavi is supposedly out sick. Oh well...

I would have liked to catch Gagne, but I didn't really want to pay extra for a combo.

I will say that I almost didn't bother to go ask for that handicap assistance. Glad I did. I am worn out from crutching, but it was much easier than last year. Didn't have to go up and down between levels as much as last year. They brought me in the back way every time. Very, very friendly too.

I had four things to get signed from Simmonds. I had a cool photo, a jersey and two pucks to get signed. My five year old begged me to get him a Simmonds puck

I also got all four of them to sign that Flyers canvas I have (Simmonds already signed it last year)

I almost went to see Rinaldo, but I had already spent $100 plus the Hartnell combo.

Oh. I even was gonna leave that $5 stool I had to sit on at the door, and one of the guards kept it for me in a closet. I went by at the end and got it back.

Lavi wasnt there at all for the same reason kimo left early.... both their older sons play on Flyers Youth and they had a championship game today... thats why kimmo left early and lavi just didnt come.... this carnival was a little meh compared to other years a little less organized in certain aspects but overall made some good success.

Boucher - 7 (5 8x10 1 Card 1 Locker Room name plate)
Bryz - 8 (7 8x10 1 Card)
Grossmann - 4 (8x10)
Meszaros - 4 (2 8x10 2 Card)
Simmonds - 6 (2 8x10 4 Card)
Talbot - 9 (6 8x10 3 Card)
Voracek - 6 (4 8x10 2 Card)

overall I think I did well

Simmonds seemed to like to talk to people. He was behind time, but took time to talk to everyone. He sat next to me and we talked a minute while he signed the four things I had. Really polite guy. The staff were complaining to each other that he was behind schedule. But, he would have sat and talked longer to me had I not ended it myself, so he could move on.

Grossman had a nice exchange with a child in a wheelchair. Looked like the kid had been through a lot, with burns on his body. Grossman bent down and joked with the kid a few minutes. Nice to see.

On the Facebook page, there was a pic and comments by the Flyers Wives that a signed Hartnell jersey was going in a bag.

But, after last year, I didn't bother to buy one this year.

Please don't speculate about injuries; until the team or legitimate media source announces anything official, we're just spreading rumours.

That is correct. He wears it often. He has what is called plantar fasciitis.

From Tim P. (Feb. 27):

Quote:
Holmgren says reason Timonen in right walking boot is plantar fasciitis. "does not affect him when in a skate," he said.
