Hawks are now 2nd alltime with Habs for longest regular season pt streak dating back to last year

What about Philly and their super long winning streak around the 90's ?

It should be a 5 min OT and ends with a tie. Absolutely dumb to get a point for losing.

Why? 2-2 is not a a real situation in a hockey game.

We've seen 3 on 3 hockey not long ago and it was awesome.

Good for him. I really like what I saw from Ryder in terms of giving us options. He's obviously got to take a few games to get a good feel, but I'm already very happy with the trade. But yeah, we're bound to have some 911 calls of a transaction robbery.

Even if Cole is to have a great second half of the season with Dallas, I'm still happy we got rid of that contract.

Cole could score all he wants, it's irrelevant. We got a great pick and we get rid of money we could use. And we get rid of a slowing down Cole next year and the year after.

Having said that.....Ryder would have to show way more. 'Cause short term, we would indeed have lost the deal. But we will get a better view of it as the years progresses.

We need sexy Free Agent Corey Perry or else we lose. Only net driver these days is Gallagher, and I'm afraid he'll piss someone off and that someone tries to Chara him.

While I think the deal was motivated by cap space, I wouldn't write off Ryder yet. He's a streaky rhytmn player, but give him opportunities and his shot will pay off. Obviously Cole gives you more, but let's not pretend Cole is elite.

3 vs 3 is extremely rare. In any event, OT should be 5min only, and ties should come back.

Shootouts really suck. It was fun the first year or two because it was new and different, but really it's dumb. It makes no sense for a team to get an extra point for winning in a shootout.

Teams have 60min to win in a 5vs5 format. If they can't settle it, then they get 5 min of OT at 4vs4. If they can't, it should end there.

Still prefer Bourque with his size and his 3,3 million salary + a good pick next July.
