I'd wear 11. I'm a Gemini and 11 looks like II.

Great post.

I'm a #39 guy myself. I got into ice hockey, and eventually playing goalie, because of Dominik Hasek. Still wear #39 though I've taken a few years off from goalie to play D.

97. My birthdate. 1997 actually but y'know, only 2 numbers and all that. Or 13, because of the Friday the 13th movies

same situation but for me, Ted Donato. hahaha. I know it's not comparable but I loved watching him play. Homegrown talent does good.

Number 21 because while I'm not a football fan, I used to love watching LaDanian Tomlinson and I just thought he was a beast when I was in high-school (probably because he was). Also loved using the Chargers just for him and Gates in the Madden games back then (circa Madden 05/06).

He was a cheat code. Similar to Vick when he was on the cover or Lemieux in NHL 13.

Saku Koivu was my favorite player when I finally got pulled into the hockey laugh. Still doesn't feel right he isn't wearing it with the Habs.

8, 88, 13, or 5 (neither of the last two are because of Lidstrom or Datsyuk, oddly enough, but that certainly works for me regardless!)

I picked 52 a long time ago for a few reasons.

On a lot of sports jerseys, a 5 is just a mirror image of a 2. I like that. Also works for digital clocks.

When I was trying to decide a number, my two favorite athletes were Al MacInnis (#2) and a rookie named Albert Pujols (#5, yes, I'm getting old lol)

There are 52 cards in a deck, and I like card games.

There are 52 weeks in the typical year.

Seems like there were other reasons, but those ones I remember. Plus it's fairly unique of a number to want, so that helps.
