Yeah if Menez hadn't made that move for the 1-0, you wonder how it would have turned out.
But Gameiro did hit the post in the first half and saw two nice saves by Landreau deny him a goal, including a great flimmed backheel.

First goal Sirigu takes in something like 9 games. Spectacular shot too.

He's been playing GREAT in all of the PSG games I've seen him in. Is he able to play Champions league?

Yes.
He's really good technically, is quick and can cross very well. He's also defending very well
Tactically though he has strides to makes. He still tends to go back to the middle 90% of the time ignoring the LB.
He sometimes also tries to go through 3 defensemen because he doesn't wait for his partners in a counter attack and losing the ball when everyone sprints forward is a BAD idea.

That said, he's a definite talent.

Wow, Aubameyang's goal...

Ricardo's Faty overhead kick is something, but that aerial backheel is simply impossible to make.

The ref didn't have one of his best days today, and neither did PSG.

He got injured early. He tried but that was hard for him.

We'll know more about him later on...

If you did (I didn't), what do you think of Yaya Sanogo at this stage of his career? He hasn't scored a lot previously, but is 4 goals in this game still an indication of his potential?

Auxerre seem unlikely to be promoted, so do you see Sanogo being good enough to play in L1 next season for another team? There's bound to be some interest from few lower half L1 teams at least, especially if he has a good latter half of the campaign.

He'll be 21 during the next season, so in order to improve, he should be in L1 by that age.
Sanogo's just injured himself again. He's out for at least two weeks.

Anyone a Nantes or Ligue 2 fan? I'm inquiring about Fernando Aristeguieta who has 3 goals in 6 games.

I thought everyone offensively looked like crap for PSG.
Ibra was absolutely TERRIBLE. Lavezzi was the only one worth a damn and he too made wrong choice after wrong choice.
But the cherry goes to Ibra. Not a single good pass, not a single good choice and just walking around the whole game. Pretty much like he has played in 2013. Nowhere near the Ibra of the first part of the season.
Lucas played 15 minutes and then disappeared. Pastore at least tried to help defensively and made a few great passes.

Terrible display for PSG, but 3 points a win over their rival, they'll take it I guess.

Very good player this Krychowiak BTW. Excellent two way midfielder with solid instincts and a good shot.

You think PSG will finally break away from the rest of the league and then they lose to Sochaux and Reims

Since the break, PSG has drawn Ajaccio at home, lost to Sochaux and Reims away, while also winning but being dominated against Lille.
And during those games they were outplayed (except Ajaccio). During the same period, they dominated Toulouse away 4-0, showed very strong defense in Bordeaux (1-0 away win), beat Valencia cleanly awat (2-1), and beat OM twice (2-0 lucky win and then 2-0 clean win in cup action).

No consistency and the absence of both Thiagos hurting a lot. Bad player selection by Ancelotti a couple of times too. And of course Ibra being the shadow of the Ibra of the first part of the season (but still starting of course, while Gameiro and Menez are on the bench).

Horror show by Lyon and Marseille, just an awful game. Seems to me that everytime a game which is supposed to be good ends up being heavily disappointing.

OTOH, good to see St. Etienne sort of keeping it up, they're red hot this calendar year. Same goes for Nice, Puel's doing a fantastic job there and I feel like they don't get enough credit.

Still, I'm not too sure if it's a good idea for either to really go for it and fight for the CL, think it's a bit too early for St Etienne and especially for Nice.
