NJ just put Bobby Butler on waivers. Now's our chance.

I'm surprised there isn't a four JG Pageau thread about Butler by now.

Petr shastlivy=bochenski=bobby butler

pure one-dimensional perimeter shooters who aren't NHL calibre players.

- Mac probably wanted to cut the goals against this year and have the team to play better defensively. He knows he has the goaltending to do so.
- Spezza's injury, you have to adjust when you lose your main offense motor for an extended period
- Karlsson's injury, you have to adjust when you lose your other major offense motor for an extended period
- Others injuries didn't help as well (Michalek, they had some hope that Latendresse was going to be heatlhy and contribute offensively, same with Regin, couldn't have Cowen's offensive progression...)

Even healthy, I doubt the Sens would have finished top-5 in goals scored this year (maybe more around 10-12th) but would have improved a lot for goals against (vs 24th last year)

Under the circumstances, it's more than understandable that they want to be involved in low scoring tight checking games. That way, they can win games 2-1 and 3-2 instead of losing 6-4 or 5-3
On that note, I really feel like the reason Ottawa lost in Philly yesterday is because they got suckered into playing their old risky offensive style at times. Especially the d-men, who were responsible for a ton of ill-timed pinches.

Love the main board sometimes. Karlsson wins the Norris and all of sudden the trophy is meaningless and is losing value.

Wonder if Detroit will be the one to stunt Chicago. They're playing fine, but Chicago is just unworldly dominant.

This final period has a pretty ridiculous pace between CHI and DET.

Kane must be a Hart nominee at this point.

Chicago yet still undefeated in regulation. This is getting crazy.

Think J. Schultz regrets not signing with the Sens?

He would be on the top pairing right now with a team in the thick of it.

Cam Ward out 6-8 weeks with an MCL injury.

Goalie market might be heating up...

I think so. Oilers have a lot of young talent, but it doesn't appear like anyone is steering the ship. They're starting to look more like the Islanders every day. It's a shame so much young talent is being wasted on those two teams.
