He plays possessed. He can skate in a straight line very well and fast. Way better then Ses.

Not saying he's a world beater, but lets give him a chance before we start crying.
Not crying, more like laughing. We basically traded a 4th next year for a slightly better Hordichuk who is injury prone. I doubt he even cracks our roster on most nights

He has one sexy mustache but as for player skill, a decent 4th liner who can fight and plays a hard game. Not the most talented player around but he plays with a lot of heart and likes the rough stuff but he'll fight and provide a spark

He's a liability and makes the team worse. Might as well have just kept Hordichuk. Terrible asset management, what a joke.

Enjoy this guy. He'll do anything to help the team win, and is an excellent skater.

Why has he only played 12 games though? I don't watch a ton of Leafs games but when I do, and he is playing, he is definately noticed out there.

How is he different than Hordy?

I just question where this leaves us now in terms of lineups. Who is going to sit if he and Hall are inserted tomorrow?
I'm guessing Hartikainen to OKC, permanently (barring injuries)

I will not get neither excited nor upset till I see the work in progress. Oiler fans are pretty pissed right now so, I understand the frustration. I just want him to kick the **** of the first ass hat that takes liberties with the top six. Ala, Chara answering the bell last night.

Absolutely. With all the kids on the Oilers someone has to make up for it.

Let's give him a chance, for crying out loud. It's hardly Mike Brown's fault that this team has no heart.

Oilers fan will like Brown.

He is a good middle weight fighter who is a great skater, hits everything he can, will fight but does it at the right times for the sake of the team, doesn't take stupid penalties and is a decent penalty killer.

The two major drawbacks of Brown is his vision isn't very good and he has hands of stone which is why he'll never be anything more then a 4th line energy player.

Vision a poor man's Chris Neil and that is what you're getting with Brown.

Hordichuk can actually skate pretty well, not a problem with him. The problem is that Hordichuk isn't good enough to take on a regular shift and neither is Brown for what i've seen. Krueger is a pacifist as well so Brown will be on a short leash. If he takes any bad penalties, he'll be riding the pine for several games at least.

Mike Brown is one of the best fighters in the league no doubt. High intensity guy and good in the locker room. Absolutely zero skill though and takes stupid penalties sometimes

He'll be a fan favorite in EDM

I will wait to see this guy in an Oiler jersey before I start crapping all over him (as some of you are wont to do). Bottom line is this team needed a shake up - even a minor one like this - and we've got it. If it isn't enough of a spark, more moves will come.

We'll see how he fits in. At this point I'm not sure if Krueger will play him. BTW, I assume this means Harti gets sent down?

P.S. Brown is signed for this year and next (737K cap hit).

Good move

good start by Tambo at least....doesn't make the top 6 better but he does play 4/minutes a night and bring PASSION to the game, which this team seriously lacks

can play and hit and fight...something neither Hordichuk nor Eager can do on a consistent basis

I don't know why you guys are crying about a 4th round pick. We gave up the same to get him and never cared about the pick.

He was good here but McLaren kind of took his job and with Frattin/Lupul coming back, Mike Brown was the odd man out.

I think he'll be good player for you guys. Energy guy, gives 100% effort every night, fights, has a lot of speed but no hockey sense.
