I can def agree there.

If this is the extent of Tambo's dealing, I'll be pissed. He has a lot of holes to fill.

Yep. Somebody explain the point of this. We just waived Hordichuk because we've suddenly realized theres little or no role for fighters anymore that play a few minutes a night and can't play hockey.

Then we go out and get another one.

Oh well, the names have changed, thats important.

He was good here but McLaren kind of took his job and with Frattin/Lupul coming back, Mike Brown was the odd man out.

I think he'll be good player for you guys. Energy guy, gives 100% effort every night, fights, has a lot of speed but no hockey sense.
Only reason it's an issue is becaus e abig guy in Sestito was just available last week for nothing.

For an asset, no less. What a joke.

The point appears to be that our management wouldn't know a hockey team if one fell on top of them. Or possibly has been instructed to lose some more.

There are enough liabilities on this team - adding another one at the cost of ANYTHING is a totally stupid move. Not surprised though. The team is continuing to slide into a lottery spot again and Mike Brown is the answer right Tambellini? What an idiot.
Not that big of a deal. It's a 4th round pick for a guy that will actually throw a hit. It registers about a 1 on my "Give a **** meter"

Brown is better at hockey than Sestito, McGrattan, and Volpatti.

Mike Brown only has to play 4 mins a night, but with some meaness and grit to inspire. Then he will have done his job. If he does this, then he is doing more than the Hordichucks, and Eagers in their time here. So it probably be a lateral move with some hot sauce tossed on. Can't wait to see him for those 4 mins.

We have a lot of bodies in the bottom six as is so it will be interesting to see what happens.
Apparently Paajarvi is 8 games away from being eligible for waivers so he makes the most sense. Too bad since he just played his best game of the season.

Probably conditional on him passing a physical.

Here are the problems I see with the deal.

First that we're trading for damaged goods since he's missed almost half the season with a shoulder injury.

Second that he's another useless goon who is unlikely to play more than 2 minutes a night. If we're going to bother to make a trade we better be trading for someone the coach will use and play.

It sounds like Brown is another move to make a move. It accomplishes nothing but it sends a sign to the fans that management is doing something when really they arent.

More and more I think about it, I think that is a fact.

BUT his size is still on the smaller side, 5'-11"?

that's what makes it confusing. plus the fact it seems he might have health issues.
If nothing else, at least we know that Tambo is still alive, anyway.
I like the idea of getting a player that gives a crap.

This is really the key. We could've added a lot of guys, but we were looking for a better fit.

I think the real problem here is that we all know that that 4th round pick was going to be something special.

Agreed

Makes little sense to me to demote a guy that contributes just because he's waiver eligible when we have Smyth doing absolutely nothing.

This team is ripe for a trade right now, just too many bodies.

How much wiggle room do we need? Odds are we will be moving someone in another deal. 1 contract is good enough this late in the year.

Listen he isn't the answer to anything but is a useful addition. Every scouting report says a fourth liner who skates fast, hits hard and actually tries 110% while being able to kill penalties. On this team that is more than 2 min a night.

I get people wanted a bigger move but that doesn't mean you ignore other potential moves when they arise. He upgrades the fourth line at an inexpensive cost.

Sestito is ****ing terrible. He's just like Hordichuck. Brown is a step above these players.

Does that clear it up though?

Harti is coming off IR soon no? And Horc shouldnt be too far off either.

Jones, Horc, Belanger, Harti, Smyth, Petrell, Eager, Brown.

Good move by Tambellini. Too bad Kruger won't play him.
