Butt Kickin'!

Wow.
5-0 Flames, and the third hasn't even started.

Flames rule! Everyone is chipping - the forwards, the defenseman and both goalies have been phenomenal. Jamie was great tonight, but Miikka has really turned this team around. Wonder what will happen when Turek comes back.

Does anyone know if Miikka will start tomorrow? I'm pretty sure he will but Jamie had a great game tonight so not sure what Sutter might be thinking.

I'm guessing Kiprusoff, I think J-Mac got this start cause it was a back-to-back.

Hey anyone know what happened with Warrener? He left early in the third.

I hope he's still okay, I love where Gauthier's games been going, but having Warrener around still helps alot.

Craziest thing about this game though....Iginla finally gets off the Yelle-Green line and THEN Green scores? Crazy. Iginla and Lombardi really play well together though, I hope they stick.

I like this lines, at least 'til the trio get back, they make more sense to me than the ones before.

Saprykin-Lombardi-Iginla
Gelinas-McAmmond-Donovan
Green-Yelle-Clark
Oliwa-Morgan-Kobasew

Regehr-Leopold
Warrener-Gauthier
Lydman-Ference

Kiprusoff
McLennan

This is a very confident and strong team right now AND it can only get better when Rheinprecht, Conroy, and Betts get back in the lineup. NOW, if only we could find a way to get rid of Turek's contract.

Either that, or hope his recovery is behind schedule, just in time for the insurance money to kick in preparation for the March trade deadline.

Warriner's out, Montador's in against BJ's.
So far totally outshot, and leading again (2-0)

For sure, but you've got to love that team shooting percantage. Seriously, they can't continue to get outshot that badly and continue to give up that many power play opportunities. Looks like Iggy's starting warm up.

Hey at least the PK% is going up after that game. I don't think they would have been outshot if it hadn't been for all the PPs.

BTW With the victory Kiprusoff passed Belanger and Dadswell for 16th on the all-time Flames goalie win list with 9.

Also with 2 PIMs Gauthier passed Bourgeois for 23rd all-time in PIMs with 432.

And finally with an assist Iginla passed Eric Vail for 8th all-time in Flame points with 453

Think the boys got boned on what should have been third goal. Iginla's starting to heat up at just the right moment. Hope the league doesn't try to fine us for criticizing the officiating. Whatever the case, it's still two valuable points.

Kruezer - When you use your stats, do you go by stats accumulated as a "Flame" (including Atlanta), or just as "Calgary Flame"?

Its the whole Franchise history....at least unless THN is lying to me

That was some great official critizing by Sutter, and man that 'net just off' rule really sucks sometimes.
