Yeah, B and B are entertaining, nevertheless, they are only really knowledgeable about basketball. I still listen on the way home everyday for the funny segments and the calls. 1000 has always sucked IMO. The Score is way better; pretty lean right now though. Either one of the stations would do well to bring in a good hockey guy to host a show. Hanley I like, wish he would talk about the Hawks more but he probably can't get a word in edge wise with that sack of **** Mulligan babbling about the Bears, even in the middle of ****ing July.
Apparently ESPN 1000 canned Harry from Carmen, Jurko, & Harry.
Always thought he was the weakest link, but going to be weird listening to them on the way home from work as only a duo.
Didn't see this is where the sports radio discussion started earlier. Wow, umm this should have been done so long ago. This guy thinks he is funny, but his jokes are just cheesy. I'm shocked that ESPN didn't just wack him when he got the DUI a couple years back.
I don't wish unemployment on anybody, so I wish him well..but Harry just doesn't fit with sports radio. Maybe an oldies station would fit him better?
Actually from the little bit I listened, especially back when Epstein was brought on and had his pressers and whatnot, B & B were very positive and complimentary about the Cubs organization and finally joining "big boy baseball". Haven't listened much since or during last season but they were pretty on board with the Cubs finally building things the right way from the ground up and were very pro-Epstein.
If that's the case, then the few times I've listened must've been the only times their biases are clear as day. On multiple occasions, I've heard them in the span of a few minutes praise the Sox for essentially the very same thing that they're criticizing the Cubs for, and I know plenty of people that feel the same way about that station, too.
Granted, I'm fairly sure that most of that stuff has been morning, weekend, and pre/post-game time periods, so I can't speak specifically about B&B, but either they've done an abrupt 180 in the past year or two or I and several others have just so happened to listen at moments where they're accidentally homering it up.
